It’s really easy to second guess because you held the gun and the taser and felt the weight difference with plenty of time to ponder. Should he be dead, no. But had he not fled, he’d be alive. I haven’t followed since the verdict. Did they sentence yet and how long will she get? |

As for her sentencing, I'm not sure if they've rendered a verdict on that yet. |

Of course now you get to pay a premium for them. Although I will grant that the new ones are better looking than the original ones.

@bucketfoot, I don't think I particularly liked them in the 60s, but now these black and gold plates have a nice vintage look to them. They also stand out in a crowd, give you a different look. I don't mind the premium, to me they're worth it.

Honestly I always preferred the black & yellow. Of course that may just be because that is what all my California cars had

I guess technically I did have the blue & yellow plates on one car. But that was my dad's pickup that I got when I was going to school in Arizona and took with me when I moved to Colorado. In fact I'm almost certain that I still have the plates from it sitting in my rolling toolbox in the garage

I know for sure that at that time the plates stayed with the car when sold and both my 67 Camaro (bought in 77) and 59 Baja Bug (bought in 78) had the black plates. But since I think the blue ones came out in 69 or 70 that means that my 72 Mach I definitely had to have the blue ones.

It certainly helped that it was a time when you could get some great cars for bargain prices. The other good thing was that my parents made me pay for my own insurance as well. This kept me from doing much stupider things than what I was already doing!
