Another ship left the port on Saturday and my car is still waiting at the port. The BMW Genius told me this step is the longest in the process. I hope he was not accounting for `Order Received` to the `Scheduled for Production` step which took 3 months for me.

My m60 arrived at the port around feb 16..
It is now on the Victoria Highway landing on the East coast on 3/4.

So far the order process has been very timely.

husnuke car is bound for the West Coast like mine is. That’s a different story than East Coast delivery. There’s fewer opportunities, and the voyage is 35 days. The problem is that our cars have been sitting at the port for nearly a month now without getting loaded. And this next one is the last to land at Port Hueneme before the Trump Administration’s April 2 announcement about import car tariffs…

So I’ve been sitting at the port in Germany for over a month tracking the boat shedules to Port Hueneme. As each roro departed the port without any status change I called my salesman to see if he could give me any information. He had to wait for BMWNA to get back with him.
Edit: Good news he said it was on the Daisy Leader arrived at Port Hueneme today 4/3 then onto a truck to the Bay Area to get PDI then another truck ride to my driveway in Boise.

Are you saying that in the month since Vela Leader departed Bremerhaven your car’s status has always said “at the port” even though it was in transit and is now almost at delivery?

They need to make it automated so when the car leaves the port to go on the ship it passes through a scanner that reads the VIN barcode and automatically sends you a notification of status change. However it seems like they are being lazy and not updating the status to the customer.

I agree. How hard can it be? Supposedly they’re already scanning the VINs on assembly line and throughout the process.
I mean, it’s not like in the days of old when updates were in the hands of manual data entry thru out the process.

My SA is useless, and I might add, an as*#+£€. I left the dealer after ordering the car in tears. I had everything printed out, I knew exactly what I wanted, and yet somehow he felt It necessary to make me feel like an imbecile. I’ve avoided contacting him for questions about the car.

I too, am worried that by the time I get the car it will be well into April and Trump will have some tariff added to it.

The SA upped the price on me by 1k a month ago, but I refused him. The whole point of putting a deposit down and signing the order was to keep me from going back and trying to lowball him once it came in. Seems it should work both ways. It should protect me from him upping the price.

Btw…. Does anyone know if the cars coming thru Port Hueneme get loaded on trucks or train for Oregon and Washington deliveries?

I don’t know what’s up with the Cronus Leader. Seems like it is now running a week behind the original schedule from the website. Now in Zeebrugge, not departing Bremerhaven for the West until 7-Mar, arriving Port Hueneme 7-Apr.

Sorry friend, everyone's experience varies and depends on lots of factors outside the consumer's control. I ordered mine end of October and that "Order Received" didn't change until mid-end of December. Production was end of January and now my car is on a ship cutting through The Bahamas and will dock in Galveston on Monday. Maybe I can pick it up next Friday, about 4.5 months after I ordered it.

Load it on a desktop, use dev tools to see the REST traffic, and you'll be able to find a "prodDate" that will give you some more info on when it'll enter production for real

I would have asked for the manager and told him inrefuse to buy a car from that SA. I want another one to earn that commission or I go to another dealer

I thought I had lost my mind tracking so many ships, but you’re right. Cronus Leader was next on my list after Morning Laura left Bremerhaven, but I was confused by the dates. Thanks for noting it!

Maybe our cars are parked next to one another. I’ve been imagining mine has a giant sign on it that says, “Skip this one, We’re not done torturing the new owner”

Looks like Helios Leader (Mar 4) will leave sooner than Cronus Leader.

Looks like Cronus Leader has bypassed Bremerhaven and gone to South Hampton or is coming after SH.

Helios Leader, however, will be in Bremerhaven today and leave tomorrow for the west coast. Here’s crossing fingers and toes we both get on and that any others out there waiting at port for a west coast ship gets on too! 🤪
