Styrofoam, bruh.
I was about to comment on the fact that we both drank outta them, but I was lazy to post subsequently. My whiskey glasses were at home with the frozen stones, meh. Leave me alone!

I actually received them as a gift from an ex-girlfriend, but I found them online. These are mine: https://www.amazon.com/Chilling-Ston.../dp/B004SM381E You don't need to get some that expensive, though. They range from around $15-$45, most times.

The priciest bottle of rum at our local liquor store was The Kraken Black Spiced Rum at $20.99, so I took a shot and bought a bottle. Nowhere near as drinkable on the rocks as Plantation. It's 90 proof and has quite a kick. I ended up mixing it with OJ. Not bad as a cocktail.
One thing they do have is a very cool website. http://www.krakenrum.com/

Nope. Just went to look for a pic to post and saw the site. I won't be buying another bottle of this. Guest I'll just have to travel an hour to get the good stuff.

I was worried you got some early tailings and it was having a negative effect on your thought process.

I just got back from Dublin.......
After trying several fine Irish whiskey's, I would have to say the Powers 20yr was the best I tasted. Its like drinking candy!

Ah, margaritas.
My world famous recipe. Or at least NASA famous. Known as Ma-hk's Mah-gah-ritas (I'm from Boston and was the bartender at some NASA parties in '96.) Mix: Large can of frozen limeade. Directions say 4-1/3 cans of water. I use just less than 3 cans, so the mix is stronger. Good pour of tequila (I use Cuervo Gold) Slightly lesser pour of Triple Sec or (if you want higher end) Grand Marnier Fill with mix (and ice of course) Top with a squeezed lime wedge I could drink them all night. Frozen alternative: Fill blender 3/4 with ice, dump in full can of limeade, fill empty limeade can 3/4 way with tequila and the rest with triple sec, pour into blender, blend.

Lately wine has been helping me maintain a level of professional perception while still being able to take down a bottle or two of 13-14% ABV.
I'm pretty sure this stuff is just to trick people into believing it's okay to consume mass amounts is being classy. If you drink 10% ABV beer in the same quantities you're a drunk idiot in the same peoples eyes. This crazy world is great.

Which brings up another question. Any suggestions for higher-end tequila to replace Cuervo Gold? And is it worth it for a margarita?

I wouldn't mix a nicer tequila, but for some on the rocks, I'm partial to Anejos (primarily) and Reposados, but not Blancos. I like Don Julio and Tres Generaciones. They're both great sippers. Patron is great too, but way overplayed and I don't think the value is there compared to ones I mentioned.
