150% if you could get in at $21. Their burgers are pretty good but I still prefer In n Out.

BOX is another one. IPO price of $14/share and jumped 70% on opening day. The company has not had a profitable year in it's 10 year history and has competition from Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and EMC.

Quite the contrary, and I do apologize for my poor choice of words in my previous post.

You have to remember that there are nearly 3000 posts in this thread. Not every post came from someone with such an advanced knowledge of the subject.

What concerns me is that some people may see this thread as a source of information rather than a source for informal discussion.

My only hope is that people make educated decisions for themselves rather than trust other people to make those decisions for them.

Again, my apologies for the poor word choice. Carry on.

Still long silver, dumped oil short positions last week...took a nibble shorting oil again few minutes ago while up high today...if oil in dead cat bounce mode, needs to reverse by tomorrow otherwise oil making true bottom imho.

That seems so arbitrary. I know you're not providing a technical analysis as you said "imho" but still, this is just blind speculation.

6 months into the future if oil drops substantially from its position today, you'll pat yourself on the back for "calling" the "dead cat bounce" as a predictor for its decline.

If long positions win out over the next 6 months, you'll pat yourself on the back for calling the "true bottom." Your post is so vague that you can't possibly look bad regardless of what happens to oil.

Plz show me how I can put $500k into a franchise and make $120k a year lol. Do you not have workers? overhead? costs of any sort? Franchise cut?

Or is this some sort of robotic money printing franchise?

Some light on your numbers:

According to a report on food franchising by Franchise Business Review, 51.5 percent of food franchises earn profits of less than $50,000 a year; roughly 7 percent top $250,000, with the average profit for all restaurants coming in at $82,033. That doesn't sound too bad, until you factor in the initial investment. Though some basic restaurant concepts cost less than $100,000 to open, many established brands require as much as $500,000 to start. And a full-service restaurant may require an initial investment of $1 million or more.

Mcdonalds even with its poor earnings will easily net you that. The stores on average make over $2 mil in revenues. If you find a location that someone is selling, it can be had in the 500s arena...

I know I know, I got lucky for the 15th time well crap.......but the people who have followed this thread for 3 years knows...

All I know is I went short oil yesterday again cause the charts told me to, today oil is getting hammered over 5%...kinda like golf, the more I practice, the luckier I get....blind speculation, perhaps yes, but wonder why it works much better than 50-50?...look at the time stamp from my post yesterday and look at intraday chart on oil...

I'm probably going to wait it out on the sidelines. I shouldn't be too greedy, especially when I don't really know what I'm doing.

NemesisX did you get back in to AMD? 16% intraday today.
I am still bag holding on this, but I am fairly optimistic. There will be lots of short squeeze coming.
Bought CALL to offset some losses. Didn't buy enough.

Sprint. No brainer on losses, but higher topline due to aggressive plans. If Sprint wants to join those big2, they need to start showing profit. Only sissy growth company investors sees subscription#. Sideline on Sprint.

Unfortunately I did not I got out of AMD for a very meager capital gain as per my last post.

Twitter also had a +16% trading day on Friday, although it didn't do me any good as I don't own any shares of twitter.

GoPro has been on a huge slide since last October or so, capped off by a -13% trading day on Friday. If it ever gets near 52 week lows again I'll strongly consider buying.

Anyone considering USO? Looks like a solid bottom bounce might be a dead cat bounce. Flagging right now with 50MA right above though.

BABA is ugly. Some pretty good support near here but I doubt it will hold.

I wanna see what Costolo has in his bag of tricks before I get back in. So far, his favorite bag of tricks is 10,000 types of metrics to measure the subscribers.
