Sister in Orlando lost power at 6PM. Hope it doesn't take days to restore.

St Pete here - power went out in the middle of the night. Not much damage other than a few small branches on the ground

I read that Teco said they aren't sending crews out until Tuesday. Maybe that will change if everyone got as little damage as us.

Power, landlines and cell still out in my house. Can't even text and make cell call. Storm is over. At animal hospital hoping my dog pulls through. Not looking good right now.

She is almost 12. Diagnosed with mitral valve disease / enlarged heart in Jan 2014. She was having trouble breathing so I took her in fri night before storm. Her lungs are full of fluid and diuretics aren't doing enough to solve + causing issues with her kidneys. She is marginally better but needs more diuretics to get rid of fluid to breathe but can't really tolerate them. She's in an oxygen chamber. Killed me to leave her here Friday but it's where she needed to be. Taking blood test now to see if she can tolerate another day of treatment to see if she can survive at home but hard to come to grips with this being a short term solution even if it works.

Edit: at least I found 2 pharmacies open where I can get new diuretic if feasible to give her.

Honestly , your story makes me really sad . Because it makes me think on my Dina .
Dina was my black Riesenschnauzer , she was 12 too . And I saw on your dog in the picture and by your description that she has the same symptoms.
Actually this sounds no good my friend .
May my Dina RIP ...

I believe in nothing , but I promise you that I will try to pray for your dog ..
I wish for you , your family and your dog the best of luck .

Good luck! Sad to hear about your dog. We have two cavaliers, great dogs. Our oldest is almost 14 now...

Kidneys have miraculously improved a bit since yesterday. Waiting for Rx called in to go pick up her next treatment.

We feel for you Rick and the pain is good, it means he is loved. Some people feel nothing, that's not you. Beside my son and wife Tbone was most important to us getting away from the storm. Tbone is getting extra love today, we know yours is also.

Glad to hear the kidneys are doing better! Jake (14) is a ruby while the younger is 8 and is a tri-color like yours...
