The simulator pictures look MUCH darker than that for the expresso. If the colors are that far off, I do not think I am going to except the car. No offence please, It just is not for me and to far off from what I thought I was getting.

Dom, I should confirm, I thought you went with expresso. What color is that?

I think the light level plays a part - my espresso seats look similar to DomiGijzen but this pic of the rear seats looks a bit more like the simulator

They look a little lighter color than expected, but your photos are in overcast conditions, so the light is on coolish blue/gray side. The photos might appear a little “richer” in warmer, sunny light.

Been lurking around here for a while. Here are some recent shots
Our first car as a married couple in 84 was that Corolla in burgundy color.

Anyone got any of the blue paint colors from the BMW Individual extended selection?

One local dealer had sample plates on the wall which allowed comparing a few blue colors. But a few is all they got. There was also some interesting color that seems to be off menu now I noticed with a cheeky name like “snapper rocks” or something. Maybe that’s the color of the M2 in the R&T Performance Car of the Year article?

The simulated colors on the inside and out are never close. Your BMW dealer should have a display rack with samples of all the seat colors. It’s harder to tell with paint, but I was able to find several cars with the paint I chose.

I’m not sure the underbody inspection is warranted. The dealer has the car for 3 days after receiving it where they inspect everything. If you don’t trust your dealer to do that, then you should.

Looking back at the pics, they are indeed a bit lighter than real life. Not sure why that’s happening.

Because you are not performing a white balance calibration of the camera prior to taking the picture.

I remember someone asking for samples/pictures of other colors. While I was at the dealership today waiting for my car to be serviced, I looked around on the lot and took some pictures of cars with different colors.

Here they are in order, top to bottom:
  • Toronto Red Metallic
  • Zandvoort Blue
  • Unknown purple lookin color (there was no window sticker)
  • San Remo Green Metallic
  • Mineral White Metallic
  • Portimao Blue Metallic
  • Unknown color, just thought I'd throw it in because it looked so nice

Asking for a friend
How did the rack impact your range ?
With the rack does the nose become very light to drive ?
Greetings from the south of you

Correct, cape York green.
The nose seemed and drive seemed fine to me, no difference.
Before the rack I was getting about 18 kWh/100km and afterwards about 19, what I would expect.

Nice pictures.

Could everyone please post the colors chosen when posting? Threads like this are great for shoppers, and it helps them to know what colors they are looking at.
