In short what happened in this murder case...

2014 september 18 , *EMRE-HIKMET* (37) (Turkish) The murderer killed in cold blood the Belgian old lady MARIE LOUISE-DONDERS (64) in her house !
He hit her several times with a big wooden object on her head and the old lady died , her son found her later in the house !
He took her money and her bankcards (creditcards) and later he was caught when he used her creditcard on the bank security cams ...

Need to talk tomorrow morning ASAP with my company director about the whole situation and I'm sure he will not be happy to hear this !

Is there someone on here who was in the same situation as a jury member in a murder case ?
Any advice is highly appreciated of what I can or should do ..

talk to the court clerk and "stretch the truth" *wink wink* about the fact that you think you know someone involved in the case, and your knowledge of the fact might inadvertently cause a bias in deciding the case...the clerk with talk to defense and prosecution, and they should allow you not to be in jury...

Like I said above the planning is huge at my work (7/7) , otherwise I would love to put the sucker in jail .

Sounds suspicious and they would go for further investigation..
On the other hand , I have no criminal record .

I don't know...I never saw anything like that at my high school between teachers and students...still find it a little hard to believe.

I started buying tools last year. I spent a little over $1k and still don't have everything I need. I told myself I can buy them as I need them instead of all at once. Haha

If all else fails in terms of the company director coming through with something that works in court, you could point the court to this site where they can read your original musings, including your description of the case. I'm fairly certain that even if they were to ignore the rest of your posts, they would certainly agree that the facts as you presented them indicate a bias. And therefore you shouldn't be one of the 12.

Plus, isn't the whole concept that you are judged by a jury of your peers? Are you really a peer? Would Am Bi consider himself to be a peer with the accused? That alone should get you excused don't you think? You could try that argument if the above doesn't pan out.

And lastly, I doubt you are one of the 12 - you are more likely in a jury pool, from which they will select 12. So you aren't done for yet.

Never actually partied much in high school, but I did go to this one party. Was junior year, I believe the first or second party of the season. It was an after party for the "back-to-school" dance, which I also never went to.

Anyways, being a Catholic high school, in the Northern suburbs of Chicago, the school environment was Old Testament, while the student population had more money than brains. Wasn't planning on going, but had a few hours to kill before meeting up with a friend, so I showed up to say I'd been to party during high school. Was around 9:00, probably about 30-35 kids, and tons of cheap booze and weed. Probably some coke too. Idk, my school was fucked.

Anyways, kids were drinking, dancing, and eating some sandwiches and pizza that the hosts parents had gotten for the party. Something in the pizza or sandwich wasn't all that good, which caused a quite few upset stomachs. This quickly escalated to vomiting.

I went outside to leave, but my friend, for some reason had to piss right then and there, so he wandered to the nearest bathroom, only to be greeted by a toilet and sink clogged with vomit.

Not phased, and determined to relinquish the stress in his lower body, he proceeded to the tub...which was occupied. Girl, whom is well known in school for various acts involving her mouth, is passed out in tub...in a pool of her own vomit and piss. She sorta comes to consciousness and sputters to my friend "can you give me a ride"? To which my friend walks out of bathroom, and leaves.

As we pulled out of neighborhood, a couple of squad cars pulled in. Apparently 9 kids got their stomachs pumped (including bathtub girl) and pretty much everyone there got underage tickets. All which got waved cuz Northern suburb politics and "my kid would never do such a thing"!

High School was entertaining.

Yeah don't just dive in, just acquire stuff as you need it and it'll start adding up. Both of my tool boxes are overflowing, you can never have too many tools!

I have a beard but have to shave pesky neck/cheek scruff consistently.

What's it like to live in Chicago? Would anyone here say it's worth it?

As an outsider looking in, it seems like a sinking ship in some ways not unlike Detroit decades ago. Rampant crime, government corruption, declining population, rapidly rising taxes, and runaway unfunded pension liabilities. It feels like a disaster waiting to happen unless they abruptly change course for the city.

Am i blowing this out of proportion?

It really depends. Living IN Chicago is similar to Detroit, there are nice sections and the not so nice sections, mix of people with and without money. Declining population is due to expanding suburbs, more people are willing to make a commute TO the city for work than before. We almost moved to Crystal Lake, which is about a half hour or so outside of Chicago, and it was actually a very beautiful city. When I stayed in Chicago with my buddy at his brothers place, it was pretty cool and we never had any issues. Went out at night to the bars, walked around, met cool people, so overall the environment is fun.

Political however, is a completely different story. It doesn't take many people to ruin any city's financial well being by making stupid decisions, that inherently, causes people to move outside the city. Nice thing about Detroit is it's actually giving incentives for businesses to come back, streets are becoming more flooded with people again, and in general seems to be turning around for the better. Again though, only downtown, the surrounding areas will always be shit because of history.
