Is that not an appropriate response?

As two high level snarky members appreciated your post, i'm sure it's clever. But sadly, you must explain it to me.

There's an alarming number of straight guys that do gay porn for the money. Apparently, it pays pretty well. Hence the term, gay for pay.

In response to your question. Your 3rd gear pressure switch/valve might be faulty.

Best to get that checked.

On a 6MT?

To Biorin, my trans makes similar heavy engagements in second and third when cold, but I think that's mostly due to putting heavier trans fluid in it. You can get around it by slowing your shifting down or double-clutching. I forget the details of when you said it happens, but regardless, you have 100k less miles and I wouldn't expect a new M car to be fussy. Talk with the dealer so it's at least on their radar if it does get worse.

Also hard to say because it depends on how you shift. If it does it at granny or fistbump speed, it's worth mentioning, but if it does it at dick-breaking speed, that's more par for the course.

I break dicks relatively slowly, so the shift speed is actually about the same there.

Shit. Forgot she had a set.

My b.

Regardless, I'd get it checked. It's a new car.

Probably not the clutch, if it's only 3rd. Possibly a synchro issue. Maybe even a defective gear.

I had a defective 3rd gear synchro in my 545 back in the day. Happened a few thousand miles out of warranty. The repair bill was $10k+. It was cheaper to sell the car at a loss and move on, which is what I did.

What the fuck? $10k? How is that possible? I just purchased the extended warranty with clutch coverage a couple weeks ago. Whew.

WTH happened in the other thread and leaked here?

Biorin , you should know that if you have any questions about the car, you should ask it here in OT. It's not safe everywhere else in BP. Rookie move.

The best $3000.00 that I ever spent was on the top level BMW warranty on the M6. Three months after I purchased it, the rod bearings went south necessitating an engine replacement. I paid $53.95 for a new engine rather than $45K.

Now about this breaking of certain things slowly...

I didn't think I could get my gay porn fix here, but it now that I know silvergray545 is very knowledgeable and Mr Tonka is very willing...

I'm debating the purchase of that 4th year of warranty. I think I have until 10k miles to decide.

Yes... the knife is not always the way to go...
