What’s also good: they don’t try to colour match the seat colours in the plastic parts anymore. That was a big turn off for me in the previous 5 and current x5.
Nothing major - but just a few of the interior colour if you have some.

I think the configurator really shows it badly and I think it can look washed out in some photos, but I am expecting it to be a deeper/darker brown.

My local dealer didn't even have espresso as a sample swatch - I have never seen it, but I am confident I will like it.

Specs is pretty much all except for: Crystal buttons, panorama roof en sunscreens This includes adaptive suspension (non M) with steering rear axes. And I went for staggered 20" summer tires instead of 21". 21" was a bit too harsh since I live country side. Winter tires are square 19".

Will post better pics once cleaned and ready for the winter.

Interesting to see your post from 17th of October? Is that the day you picked up your car? Did you have to wait long for the recall parts? I am also in The Netherlands and my i5 touring should have been delivered on the 11th but due to the recall that will now be on Thursday. So almost 2 weeks late. In the mean time my number plate in the first 3 letters is GNT- so I would have thought mine would be sooner on the road. Oh well, just curious of your dealer was more effective at sourcing the necessary parts. Mine is in the south of Holland…

Mine was not affected by those recalls. Produced after the brake issue and before the steering issue. Golden window. As your is older, I suppose you're affected by the brake issue?
I'm a bit surprised that they put a license plate on your car while they can't deliver it.

Lucky you. Oh well, I got some free accessoires out of the whole debacle. And i drove my audi e-tron a bit longer which is a lot cheaper. Fingers crossed there are no more mishaps and I can actually take delivery.

Absolutely fantastic with no complaints! Love everything about it. I had the same model in Carbon Black, but it was totaled so I just changed the colors and wheels on this one.

Wow, looks great! Thanks for the pictures.

Any plans to add window tint? I bet black M fender emblems would look sharp with that color too!

Looks nice! Congrats. Even the pretty peg board and tools look well organized, but I would be rethinking some of those items hanging on the peg board. Like the foldable workbench. yikes! If that every falls or the hangers fail no ceramic coating I know of is going to help. Just saying..

Here is a question does anyone that goes to pick up their vehicle and inspect it ask to put in up on the rack to look underneath for any visual damage, dings and scrapes, like one would walking around the vehicle looking at the paint job?

I haven’t done that, but it’s not a bad idea. I’m just not certain I’d be able to determine if anything was “wrong” unless it was glaringly obvious. Underbodies are designed to take a beating over time, so dings and scraps are inevitable. Damage is another matter, clearly.

I’m also not sure if they’d let you into a mechanics bay while it was racked due to liability matters.

The dealer surely allows you in the service bay. I've done it a number of times. As far as the original question the expectation is that it is a new vehicle and should not have any visible signs of damage or dings or scrapes no matter where they are located. if so it should be remediated or lower the price right?

Well, if you did encounter something like that, you’d definitely be able to inquire and negotiate. The only time, to date I’ve seen the underside of a G60 is during the Savage Geese review when they put it on the rack.

Looked pretty presentable for the underbelly of the car. And it was one that had seen use.

If you ask them to detail the underside though, they might look at ya funny 😂

Porsche dealers are often scanning the whole car, includign underbody. Now that the > 3 mm underbody dent is triggering mandatory HV battery replacements on Taycan’s (not under warranty, owner cost $40k to $70k), Porsche is scanning Taycans a lot more.

Might not be a bad idea to get i4/i5 underbody inspected before accepting at delivery…
