The bare minimum is being the second best driver in a field of 20? There is literally nowhere else to go unless you want him fighting with Max, and that's bound to end up in a crash. Look at Ferrari for what happens when you have two drivers on a team that are too equally matched. Or Norris and Piastri fighting for egos and hitting each other last weekend. Or further down the field Ocon and Gasly taking each other out. Or Max and Ric years ago.

Honestly it's pretty ironic... Max fans arguing that anyone other than Checo would be better since they'd be closer to Max, are basically suggesting that the only reason Max is doing what he's doing is because of the car and not because Max is a crazy talented driver who is currently just in a league of his own.

I enjoy watching Max. A lot. I don't disparage any of his accomplishments. I think he's truly in a league of his own. I don't think anyone on the grid, in a RB19 or not, could catch him. I think you could plop him in any car on the grid and he'd be on podium at a minimum. And at the same time, I think Checo is worthy of his seat. I think he could be leading a lesser team, or sitting second in a top tier team. I put him equal to the likes of Russel or Sainz.

Whatevs. Silly debate. I like Max. I like Checo. I just like watching f1. I don't need to be in disputes like this...

Yes , sure I know. The video shows MAX's winter training here in Belgium in the snow and ice .
I said it before : No wonder , MAX beats everyone and everything in the rain .
