It's a shame they don't test by the weight of the leftover fuel vs the liter since that's how they measure overall fuel load. Nitpicking for sure, just bummed that Seb doesn't get his earned results.

It's a shame because it looks like he's the only one trying while in the #2 seat - Stroll has been a massive disappointment and it is looking like last years performance is a direct result of being in a "Pink Mercedes" rather than driver.

Daddy Stroll has a good platform either way. If Lance underperforms he can use the excuse that he's going up against a 4x world champ. If Lance does great, he can announce that his son is beating a 4x world champ. Either way is an easy out for him.

It's HAMs fault after all!!

There were 1.44 L of fuel in the AM. 1 Liter and .44 of another Liter. Since 44 is HAMs number, Lewis must have sabotaged the AM and caused the AM team to be unable to remove an adequate amount for a sample.

The FIA, Masi, Toto, and Lewis strike again!!!

I thought I'd beat the normal bunch to this.

Anyone else wondering if they will modify race restart rules after the silly restart this race?
i.e. not pitting on the formation lap?

This is indeed breaking news!!!!

I read another big news story that Toto convinced SEB to eat a foot long sandwich just before the race....which threw the weight calc off and the AM consumed more fuel!!!!

Probably not - it was only a clusterf--k only because of the weather forecast. If it were sunny or dry with no possibility of rain in the forecast, it would have likely been a standing restart.

But if it started to rain, it would have acted as an emergency pit stop to allow for the intermediate tires to be put on instead of running a lap on slicks and risk further accidents.

I thought about this too, but I didn't no proper procedures and rules especially when the entire field entered for a pit stop!

I didn't know that Mercedes was the first pit so that would have likely meant HAM would have been last anyway or somewhere near the end - don't see how HAM would got in a favourable position with the train of cars entering the pit lane and without causing some sort of collision.

The only difference I could have seen is that HAM wouldn't have had to work as hard to make up positions and there would have been a higher possibility to even win the race, we've seen HAM do this many times.

F1.com's interview with Toto and HAM could not have been more different; Toto stated it was the correct call and he would do it again; HAM said they made a mistake and should have pitted with the others....

Both drivers proved how you can go wheel to wheel and be aggressive and not crash. Ham knew when to yield, Alonso knew when to yield Max two weeks ago did know when to yield and the rest is history. This season reminds me of 2017 and 2018.

Vetel is like ves in the fastest car for the first half with a sizable lead. Ham and merc have started the fightback. They usually comeback strong after the summer break and look to have sorted the car issues out.

RB usually get stronger second half of the season too. They'll be more ready for it than Ferrari from a few years ago.

Because Max is been hit "by the Mercs" "twice" 2 X in 2 races in lap 1 !
And once (1 X) he's been send to the hospital by HAM's dirty trick at Silverstone ..

MAX lost so far in this season 75 drivers points by the dirty Mercedes BlitzKrieg ...
