Good luck. At least you’re not on the coast line. I’m a few blocks from the water. We’re supposed to get 50+ mph winds, 10 ft waves and torrential rain. I’ll be binge watching Yellowstone this weekend.

And good luck to you as well. And enjoy your show... I never got in to that one. Maybe I didn't watch enough of it. I know a lot of people like it.

I held off for a long time. I watched the first episode and quit. My sisters and many others kept pushing me but I thought it wasn’t my thing - cowboys and all. Holy shit! I’m hooked. Give it a try. Great show. I’d be content if all I did this weekend was binge a season or two. I know this isn’t the “Great TV Series “ thread but you should also check out Diplomat.

FWIW, the contractors completed our roof replacement just before dark. Looks like we'll be giving it a good test with whatever TS/Hurricane Ophelia throws at us tomorrow.

I still need to hang/connect three more interior lights in the almost Mighty Freightliner, so I expect to be spending some time out in the driveway this weekend taking advantage of the cool temperatures.....

Yesterday was low-mid 50's F all day, with lots of Ophelia rain. When I arrived at work this morning, it was 52 F in my office! Silly me wore short sleeves, and no jacket or anything! There's rain and a persistent north wind blowing at my windows, and there is a constant air leak that sounds like a kazoo as the wind speeds change. My day today is doing a big application/server upgrade, so I am sort of stuck here in Ice Station Zebra for most of the day. The only warmth is running my hands under hot water in the bathroom sink.....

That was actually grabbed at work in Port Hueneme. When I drive 9 miles home, I get at least an extra 10 degrees.

Heat inland ought to really kick in again right about the harvest moon, especially if Santa Anas kick up.

Now that the autumn rains have come, my observation is that 50F-60F and dry is totally different than 50F-60F and raining. In the latter case, my aged bones are cold! What the devil am I to do when it really gets cold this winter?!

Hey-SUS! It was 53 this morning. I woke up COLD about 2:30. Bedroom glass door was too far away, so I grabbed my robe and threw it over the top of the blanket.

The rain from Ophelia has mostly ended here, with only a few showers forecast for today. The northeast wind is still howling though, and the kazoo sound from my office window is still there. Stayed in the low-mid 50's F again all of yesterday and last night.

Our forecast is for that bright yellow ball to be in the sky all day tomorrow.....

You are not going to believe this. Hurricane Ophelia and its remnant low dumped 4-5 days of rain on us last weekend. Guess what's coming for the end of this week into the weekend? More rain...FROM OPHELIA! The remnant low has been circling around aimlessly off the mid-Atlantic coast all week, and has now started drifting to the west to give us even more rain.....

We installed rain showers in both new bathrooms, so we would know what y'all experiencing all the time.

Vegas this weekend!!!! 90s on Friday when we get there, then drops to 70s by the time we leave on Monday.

63 and mostly cloudy with a high surf advisory here at work today.

Ophelia's rains have returned! Our local forecast is for another 2-5 inches between now and Saturday, with temps holding nearly steady in the upper 50's F.....

Speaking of deja-vu, The Ophelia Mk2 rain finally came to an end...and now we've got more Canadian wildfire smoke in the upper atmosphere!!! You would almost think that Bill Murray was our weather forecaster, because it's starting to feel like "Groundhog Day" in these parts.

Today's high will be in the upper 70's, and let's just say that it's freaking hot in my office at work since the whiners made the maintenance folks switch over from chiller to heat mode a week ago for that one cold/damp day.....

Too warm for hockey season to start...

Almost reached 30C (86F) today and quite humid. Had a face full of gnats like a windows screensaver on my bike ride down the old rail trail.
