Just got home from a very tiring, very HOT track day on Jerez. Temps were hovering around 101F or so. Ridiculousness. First session out I had my tire pressure (cold) at 31/21...came back in after 15 minutes because the front just felt sketch, and like I was riding on marbles. Checked tires to find a ridiculous rise (37/28).

Worked on my body position most of the day, and finally broke under the 2:10 barrier. But my god I am so drained. Was like riding in an oven all day long.

Little update on my bike. Just got all new moto gp graphics on it, all panels repainted, new front and rear sprockets, all new lights, new clutch springs, rejetted, and I cleaned it from head to toe. I am waiting for my new windshield and athena 70cc big bore kit to come in. Everything is ready so I can just pop in the top end and go, I can't wait. Let me know what you guys think.

Aprilias have always made beautifal bikes. I come from the 2 stroke era, so I'm partial to your bike for sure. I've had 5 RZ350's a TZ250, but now I weigh 215 and it just wouldn't be right lol.

Nope haha, it's too damn hot and humid here in south LA. Its 7pm, 93 degrees, and 75% humidity. I can't apply vinyl with conditions like that, so I rolled the bike right on in the kitchen.

Some really nice bikes in this thread. Makes me want to go for a ride. For all the people who post about chicken strips. GROW UP!! What someone does with their bike is not your business. Great you live on the edge....good for you. I personally ride within my limits and that of the street I am on. Would love to go to a track day...but I am not going to push my pristine bike to the limit and mess it up. If I had beater...then yes. Are you going to pay for my new plastics? Didn't think so......I work hard for my money and toys. I respect what I have and treat it accordingly.

This thread was started to show fellow members their toy....not try and prove how great you are as a rider...../end rant!!!

He is just throwing it out there because he lacks a skill to lean the bike over without crashing. At least thats what i gathered from his post

Anyone road tripping this weekend?

I plan to ride ~ 700 miles for a camping trip. Carrying all my gear on the bike. Fingers crossed for nice weather - including not too much extreme heat.

Maybe see some other folks out there. Though it seems most people on here have cruisers or sport bikes so maybe not the sport touring / touring crowd so much..

Last Wednesday, I finished up work and got home. A few of my friends wanted to ride, so we went out. We were going to do our usual ride, twisties and nothing stupid.

One of the guys needs to fill up so we decide to go to a gas station in the vicinity first. A close friend of mine is leading and I am second, followed by two others further back. We come to a light and take a right. He is further ahead as he was able to leave the light first and I followed. As I took the right, I throttled it, nothing out of the ordinary except there supposedly happened to be a cop near by across the intersection that I didn't see.

Me and my friend pull into the local gas station and as soon as we get in there is a cop at the light beside it. He turns in and stop in front of me. Comes out and asks me for my info. I give him my paper work. Goes to his car and comes back, asks me to follow him and then requests I put my hands behind my back and cuffs me. In I go in the back of the cruiser.

He said he saw me gunning it but he was not able to radar me. He then followed and happened to see me at the station. He says it looked like I was going double the speed limit. Anything over 50km/h over posted speed limit classifies as racing in motherfucking Canada.

He says i'm getting charged with that and that he doesn't need radar proof to charge me with a racing charge. If he had me on radar he could charge me with racing and speeding.

He goes on to spin the entire story saying that I tried to hide at the gas station which is plain and open site. I said I never tried to run or hide. I didn't even know he was looking for me or after me as he didn't even turn his lights on or anything.

He said he didn't want to chase me and he said by chance I happened to be at the gas station, otherwise he would have never gotten me. He said this himself.

Now I have a court date for the end of October. My licence was suspended for 7 days and bike impounted for 7 days. Just got them back yesterday.
