E30 M3 is indeed the best. So much history and it was a car you could buy the next day when they won on sunday.

I really miss that nowadays. It s nice to see a M235i race car. But it not the same body like a M235i street car.

The E30 M3 race/rally car had the same body which people could buy. We need to go back racing with homologation cars. First build 2500/5000 cars before you can race with it. That would bring awesome cars like the E30 M3/audi Quattro short wheel base etc.

This is why i am building a Group A E30 M3 rally car with 300hp. I think i found one of the last brand new E30 M3 chassis. It s at the cage builder right now to make an almost identical cage like the prodrive group A car. Cars like the E30 M3 race/rally cars have so much history.

The DTM like it is now will never get close to it. It s maybe faster but faster does not always gives more sensation. E30 M3 DTM cars on two wheels over the curbs were the best DTM years and it has never come close again.

Never going to happen. It was the manufacturers that pressurised the FiA to get rid of that kind of homolgation as it was costing them too much money that they simply didn't want to spend.

Shame, as I agree with you in principle, but it's just not going to happen.
