LOL. That was my thought; straight out of my 1972 Ford Pinto.

Oh Kia, they make the "luxury" car for the broke man.

Would buying a car like this be sorta considered like buying a knock-off?

it is precisely like buying a knock off........the balls on these guys to just outright copy such a trivial part of a car.....

Can't help but point out it must be an asian car manufacturer thing. Toyota does the same shit too, though not to this extent.

My own Genesis sedan is a perfect example of a Hyundai that was designed and built as well as any other typical luxury sedan but for a much more palatable price.

Obviously somebody who only sees the badge of the car they buy won't give two craps about it because its from Korea but I (and every other Genesis owner) know that it is a very good luxury car regardless of origin.

The only thing that is mildly embarrassing about this particular Kia posted is the rather blatant BMW shifter design. Still, not like BMW has a copyright on the shifter...
100% agree...If Hyundai can give you a feature with similar aesthetics yet cheaper and this is key, more reliable and back it with warranty...more power to em' ......My wife drives one and that thing has been rock solid for 3yrs over 40k miles now, love my 335i but it has been far from that in the same span of time, ....actually think the new 2015 Genesis looks pretty good,....actually on the short list for my next purchase along with GS350 F-Sport....
