haha that's how I'd sum it up. Looks great for a concept, I'm sure production will be hot!

It's too bland. All of Audi's cars (and I mean ALL of them) have very bland sides. They're beginning to adopt the "different lengths of the same sausage" routine that BMW had going before Bangle came around. I could have designed that...

But for the record, Bangle was around ever since the end of the E36 model run. |

I made some changes to it. Painted the roof, made the grille smaller:
Here's the Mini for comparison. Audi kills it! Forget just the design (I love it!), I've been reading up on this A1 since I've got some time on my hands. Here's the features: - 1.4l TFSI engine (148bhp) powering front wheels. - Additional electric engine (40bhp,148lb/ft torque) in the boot - my source told me about this a while back!, but still 240l storage (more than the Mini) - At slow speeds it can be fully RWD with the only electric engine operating. With both engines it'll be 4WD - S-tronic gearbox - 57.7mpg and only 112g/km - 0-60 in 7.8, 126mph topspeed - Audi Mobile, used as: mp3 player, stores car preferences & music, navigation system. It's like a handheld MMI system and you can turn on your car from your home and heat up the car before you step into it. How smart ! Look: I dunno about you guys but I love this new A1 Concept!

he should look at all the new features that I just posted. Clearly Audi is not trying to match the Mini, but enter that market with something more innovative and packed with features! I mean, I wouldnt want this sort of car anyway, but I just love the direction Audi took with this A1 Concept!

A) Front End: And I thought that grille couldn't get any bigger
B) Interior: Target market must be the Nintendo generation.

either way u take it, this car doesnt appeal to me, even with all its tech goodies. i must say, its a brilliant touch, but even me, being a tech junkie, i just dont like the idea of too much tech in the car. BMW keeps it simple, but yet sophisticated (i dont own a car w. iDrive, but ive used it before, very nice). im sure the target market for this car is screaming while getting their panties wet though i commend audi with this car, as it certainly seems they have done a shitload of R&D and work into it. excellent product, im just not the right consumer.

From the side it looks like a Dodge Magnum, from the front it has a large grill like a Chrysler 300, and looks like a mini cooper. I showed my bro the side pic and he immediately said Dodge. -Nathan

Well that's unfair right away. We cant just say its a "wannabe Mini Cooper/Dodge Magnum" by judging the design. Clearly its a design study and concept of which the A1 will be based on. Look at Audi concepts and you'll see what I mean. That grille will never maker it production. Not even if they make an RS1...

Not exactly wise though. 2 reasons. It's still only in concept form. The second reason is that it would be wrong to say it's a "wannabe". Clearly Audi is entering the market by not just matching Mini, but stepping ahead of them with all the new technology etc.
Also, that wouldnt even be judging it by its complete design. A car's design does go further than just it's grille and side profile. Bumpers, headlights, rearlights, wheels, paints etc. The interior is also like no other competitor but uses Audi's own design language as you find in other models.
