That shape is too angular. Looks like the designers for the RX8 and the Eclipse got together and got wasted.

Interior looks all business end though.

For crying out loud, get it straight guys. The Infiniti G35 is the Nissan Skyline 350GT in JDM, the GT-R hasn't been in the North American market forever, until now. The GT-R and the 350GT are not the same thing, they are apart of a line of cars called "Skyline", same as the M3 and 335i aren't the same thing. FWIW, the GT-R will not be called a Skyline anymore.

+1, looks like an American-designed car, more on the lines of a Pontiac. Lots of harsh edges.

You're still looking around $70k for the V-spec. The EVO will be >$100k

You mean the R32, R33 and R34.... they call the G35/G37 the skyline in japan these days.

Can't say I've ever heard of the G35 being the skyline 350GT. Take a look on Nissan's web sites, the G37 for instance is simply called the skyline coupe. Anyway, this thread needs to die.

Well from what I am reading they will not be releasing a 6MT first. So there goes the base model. The first GTR to be released will be the 7spd DSG trans so probably looking at minimum 75K for the first model to be released.

The older GTR's reputation comes more from its aftermarket potential. I wonder how hard it'll be to push over 1000hp out of this model. If the aftermarket finds this new motor as easy to mod as the old RBs then Nissan's got a real winner here.

Go here to look at a Skyline 350gt. http://www.j-garage.com/nissan/skyline/v35/350gt.htm

+1 on the diagnostic computer .
-1 on the dual clutch only for autos
+1 for nismo when they get their hands on this
+/- for the GTR Vs Evo X. the evox might perform better being lighter weight, having awd like the gtr and all but would you rather have a badge that has EVOX or the legendary SKYLING GTR?

once nismo gets their hands on this and other tuners i see it pretty much game over for everyting else. i believe the jap tuners would make it equal match to to evoms gt800 porsche. just my thought... but A+ for nissan

Procede v3? So you're hoping everytime a fast car comes out, PROcede will bail you out?

Why are people comparing this car to an M3/335i when it's not a luxury car, nor is it aimed at the M3.

It's a Corvette Z06 competitor. It just happens to be faster than 1/2 the supercars out there.

The only thing that the G35 badged Skyline has in common w/ the "Skyline of old" is the moniker, and nothing more.

Ruining the thread? What do you want the thread to be, a bunch of guys going "Looks ok, nice performance"? OK, if so...

Looks ok, nice performance.

http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/lineup.html

Click skyline sedan or coupe, it says "photo: 350gt" beside the sedan and "photo: 370gt" beside the coupe.

How much does that thing weigh? Cuz if it's a 3.5s car with less than 500 hp/ft lbs of torque, it can't weigh much. It looks big enough to make those numbers sound suspect.
