Congrats on the new ride! Just don't get caught by the POPOS lol!
I'm actually contemplating on picking up a C63 with performance pack before they switch it up to their newer TT4.0 engine. I'm not sure when they are going to do the switchover but yeah. Gotta get that beast of an engine before it's gone foreverrr!!! One of the best cars I've ever driven and that engine is world class. |

I know the F30 has its detractors but I personally think it is a brilliant car. The M Sport variant is absolutely gorgeous (and it only gets better once you start piling on the M Performance parts) and I have really been warming to the Sport Line as of late (the wheels look great on the Sport Line, in particular). The 8-speed "Sport Automatic" transmission by ZF is another wonderful feature about the F30. It will be hard for the C63's MCT to top that, IMHO. And the N55 engine. What a silky smooth, relatively tunable, great sounding (classic BMW growl) engine. I think part of me misses my F30 already. I hear you on the fuel consumption aspect. I'm averaging about 24 miles per gallon in my tuned F30 335i right now. I anticipate I'll be averaging half of that from now on. Quote:

AMG has really been stepping up its game lately. We all win from AMG trying harder; it forces BMW M to try to remain a car/brand apart. Quote:

@ Garduna - I'm obviously biased but I say definitely make a run at it! Although the newly redesigned C63 will be on the road in roughly two years, the current car (W204) will be somewhat of a classic largely due to the naturally aspirated, brutally powerful V8 that it has. There's no replacement for displacement. On a side note, I think the E9X M3(s) will also be sort of classic cars as well due to BMW M's choice of going with a high-revving, NA V8. I had to get out of turbo cars for a while. My F30 M Sport 335i is obviously turbocharged and so is my '11 750i xDrive. Need some NA cars in the garage.

I fell in love with my F30's technology(Heads-Up Display) and performance. Like you know its about filling your car performance need at the time. I wanted a car that had more duality as being something I could take on a trip and ride cushy but also be fun on the track. Granted I have aftermarket wheels, sports tires, BMS Stage 2, brake pad, and brake fluid upgrades. So that helps keep me having fun. That being said I really loved how the C63 AMG looks and sounds like a beast right out of the box. I think people make to much of a big deal about driving them in the rain. They are fine with traction control. Drive a modified foxbody on drag radials and tell me scary when wet. lol I think you made a great choice and if you decide to modify it that is one car that responds well. I cant wait to see more pictures, and very happy for you. |

Congrats. I did a track day in a C63 with P51 package at the Autobahn Country Club in IL when I was living in Chicago.
The car seemed like it was setup more for general hooliganism than precision track driving (i.e. understeer which can easily be followed by huge power on oversteer) but the sound was great and fun factor was high I would definitely take a C63 over F30 335 (which is my wife's current daily driver) if budget allowed |

I'll take some better pics tomorrow.
But for now, here she is: I put about 50-60 miles on the car today. A few quick impressions of the C63, as compared to my former F30 M Sport 335i (which had every single M Performance part except the M Performance Suspension). Steering Weight/Feel/Feedback: C63 > 335i Handling: C63 > 335i (This was no contest. The F30 335i has considerably more body roll than the C63 and the rear end on the F30 feels floaty whereas the C63's rear feels planted). Power/Throttle Response: C63 > 335i (No surprise here but I am comparing apples to oranges. In my opinion the N55 with the M Performance Power Kit delivers just as much driving excitement as the 6.2L V8 in the C63, it just does so in an entirely different fashion.) I'll bolster this review tomorrow and share my thoughts on the interior, seats, transmission, etc. I'm just exhausted right now.

What a beautiful car! It doesn't look as menacing as the pre-facelift version and I can appreciate that. Mercedes-Benz has done a great job in the looks department with the facelift.
Enjoy your new beast! Btw, what happened to the pano roof? |

It never had the panoramic roof. It sort of looks like it in the shot where the car is on the carrier but that's an illusion created by shadows.

Nice ride, the C63's are beasts.
The only sadness is how vanilla the front end is - for such a powerful car, it has a bit of a frumpy face. I wish they kept it more aggressive to match what's under the hood. Ideally, they would have paired an '11 front end on a '12+ everything else. |

I am going to spice up the front end a bit here soon with a carbon fiber front lip from Vorsteiner. I will also be adding some Vorsteiner carbon fiber side skirts and the Vorsteiner carbon fiber diffuser. All that will come after painted reflectors and a Eurocharged ECU tune. Pic of the Vorsteiner front lip (which I think is the best looking one out there right now for the C63):

Thank you very much! Appreciate it. I will never get tired of the sound this car makes during a cold start, that's for sure.
