That video surprised me - didn't think the more recent front-wheel drive Volvos would stand up as well as the old rear-wheel, full-frame cars. Volvo went to FWD in 1991, with the 850 (car in the video). Ford bought them in 1998, but kept the focus on safety. Now that the Chinese own them (Geely car company - bought in 2010), lets hope they continue as well.

I had a 1992 740 - great car in many ways. Not fast, but the 2.3 4 cyl was a tough engine.

Garage List
2018 Audi RS5  [0.00]
the second car it crashes into was my first car
it was a silver Nissan March
1000cc engine
50hp at the crank

i inherited it from my brother
one of the more interesting mods he had done is the nissan march had a very large wiper fluid tank. so he filled it with water, and everytime the car overheated, he had the wiper hose plugged in to the small hose at the top of the radiator. He'd give it a few squirts of water by using the wiper stalk, and the engine would cool down a bit

i had to undo that mod and finally found the hose that was leaking coolant, and just replaced it.
was a fun car
i remember i drilled big ass holes in the door panels and had 6x9s in the front doors

Funny! Nissan did make some slow-mobiles. The slowest car I ever drove was a 1974 Datsun 710. Crippling...!

Old Volvos are rock solid.

When I was growing up my dad had a 1987 Volvo 240 GL. I remember one time we got rear ended in it by a Nissan Micra (exactly the same as the 2nd car that got crashed into in the video). The volvo had a few tiny scratches on the rear bumper and the micra was totalled.

Nice! My dad had a 88 240dl. I remember him backing into a pole with a concrete base in a parking cruising pretty good. Got out and there was a little scuff mark and that was it. Solid cars
