Dito, I currently double my fiance. Although she's about to finish up her MBA but I don't think that will cut the gap just yet. My business is about to boom so I really doubt she'll catch up unless she plays some good "office politics".

My fiance talks about quiting. It makes me shiver. I don't like the thought of outright supporting an adult unless I'm bringing in some serious cash. Until then I'd smack a bitch if she came home and said, "honey, I decided to put in my 2 weeks and you'll be supporting everything. Sound good?". In no way will I be supporting day trips to the mall, beach, spa, lunch, etc. until I pull in at least +500k. Till then, that bitch is working just like I am. Her only out is if day care is going to cost as much as her salary, then of course I'd rather have my kids at home with their mom then some other random person. Other then that, work, work, work!

In the end I don't care who's making more. As long as were having fun and living a nice life. Oh and I get whatever car I want/can afford.

I have no idea what my wife earns. I pay for everything and she saves her money for a rainy day. I know she has quite a lot in the bank if that is any conciliation. We never discuss money and I hope we never do. Believe it or not.

I'm crackin' that whip

Yeah, never really understood it either. She's all, "maybe I'll cut back on my hours in a year or 2". You want to know what I think of that? HELL FUCKIN NO YOUR NOT!!! She wouldn't want me cutting back on my hours, why the hell should she be able to cut back hers. Until babies arrive or I'm swimming in money like Duck Tales she works.

She makes less than me but is up for a promotion at which point she'll still make less but not by much. Having 2 incomes that are decent sure does reduce stress around money. But I still think you should do what you love and don't worry so much about the $.

I am a male chauvinist, so I don't allow my wife to work.

I'd love to see my wife making more $$$ than me. In fact, I'm pushing her all the time to get a better paying job (so I could spend more $$$ on my precious e90!)

Hey ..

The $$ factor should not be an issue. If you are well suited, compatible, respectful, and in love and have the same values,ENJOY YOUR LIFE GUY. I think one thing TOO many people do, is worry what other people think. Who cares what the "norm" is .. if you've made a life and are happy .. ENJOY IT and really: It's nobody's business anyway ..

Unless both people make the EXACT dollar amount (RARE) .. then, ONE of them HAS to be the one who isn't as well financially compensated. It's just a fact, and wether it's the male or female ... shouldn't matter. What does, is your relationship ..
