I don't know - I like them if I could ever be creative. But I can't, so I don't go with personalized plates as whatever I come up will be stupid...I acknowledge this.
But I've seen some good ones - really like U4IC ST8 as a plate - think that's a wicked plate on a car for anyone who loves driving. |

If you put "BIGBACON" on your plate the cops may think you're making fun of them.

I was thinking about getting "S54 B32" when I had my E46 M3. To the unaware, it would seem like a regular random plate. Too bad it was already taken.

I like personalized plates as long their not like...
Z4 OMG Z4s RUL M PWR 330I BMW M and a million other variants of obvious names. My E36 M3 used to be E36 S52 which only enthusaists got. My current one on the Z4MC is 'BANGLED'. Most girls ask me about bracelets (had no idea bangle was a bracelet), but car geeks often laugh (at least the ones who know who Chris Bangle is/was when he was with BMW when I got the car). Do what ever you like... its your car.

That's what I always thought.... Someone may see something and report you.. "Hello, Policia? I just saw a car with the plates 'D-BAG3' doing...."

I'm pretty sure I'm one of only a couple Z4MC owners within a couple hundred miles. So non-personalized plate = being able to drive like a dbag? Not sure I understand the correlation. You piss someone off THAT bad that they call the cops, you're probably going to get caught at some point anyway. And also with that logic anyone with a sticker on the back of their car suffers the same issue. E.g. "officer I just saw a black ford exploxer with an OBX sticker or a university of transylvania"

I had UPST8DOC on my car but then a friend of my wifes saw my car in the parking lot of a "Gentlemans Club" so I quickly ditched them. They're still hanging up in my garage.

If I had a car that was totally uncompromised...the kind that everybody wants but nobody gets because it's too impractical like an Elise or 458, I might go for "CARPEDM".
Other than that, it'd have to be something very tongue-in-cheek. I was thinking LCNPL8 or VNTYPL8 |

They're like tattoos, if done correctly they can be great, but all too often they're poorly thought out. Personally I prefer to have regular plates because 1. cheaper 2. harder to remember to write down (if seen speeding, or fleeing the scene of a murder, whatever you're in to)

I've had mine on my last three cars including this one.
DDODODD Looks like a bunch of zeros and many people are always complimenting and asking about it. I also got pulled over once and got a chuckle out of the state cop who had to ask me what it was supposed to mean, my answer "it's supposed to confuse you." lol

Came up behind a Z06 this morning on the way to work which had the plate "198 MPH". I taught him a lesson.
