Besides, the Audi's is so generic, so boring and girly in theyr designs, they just have no personality at all! Trying to attract anyone, and every sex, you end up with something that's getting dated very fast! And what is up with all the different headlights Audi, your not building brand the way a premium brand should be/do, your using tech for the sake of it!

If BMW had brands other than MINI, BMW would also standarize many parts and cars would look more generic, it's just how manufacturing business work where standarization increases profitability and reduces costs. |

Perhaps you should check out other car brands. Their prices are increasing too.

I think the differences in dollar amounts are pretty impressive @8.5 billion in calculated fictitious dollars over M-B. Nice. I bet they used copyright math to sort this out.

Why not call the list "the most valuable companies"? To me Porsche,Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. is more valuable of a brand than BMW.
Porsche can take a similar vehicle like the X5M, based on the Touareg, rebadge it and demand $30-40 grand more for it. Another example, is the Nissan GT-R probably just as ugly as the Ferrari Enzo but if it had a Ferrari badge there would've been a waiting list to get em even if they did cost twice as much. Probably just arguing over semantics... |

bmw is, probably the biggest sucess story for sucking people into there vortex of insanity.. sure they make a great car, but so does mercedes for alot less, sure they make a reliable car, but so does honda, sure they make drivers car, so does porche. but what bmw has done is convince the world that unless your driveway has the blue propeller in it you are a not an educated or sucessful citizen, and we fall for it and they charge conciderably more for you to own a peice of status. ex.the x3 vs the mlk350 your neibhors dont car if a mlk is parked in front, but put that x3 in the driveway and voila.. also the mlk is better equiped for less money, alot less, and more reliable!! really who the hell sells a 44000 car with plastic seats, or no bluetooth, or non-xenon lights, BMW has marketed there vehicles so well that unless you own one, you just drive a car! ps.. i love my 128i convertable, but i bought into the bmw lifestyle. and thats the only reason why i own one.. how often am i going to maximize the cars true potential, never! like my home stereo, did i really need martin logans run off linn amps, really no but its nice to say i own them.

US///M3 If you read the original post completely (not everyone does) then you would have read this ... Quote "Millward Brown measures brand equity based on interviews with more than 1 million consumers globally and an analysis of the financial and business performance of each company using data from Bloomberg and Datamonitor." End of quote. So needless to say how many people in the 1 million would answer; Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini ... just saying, in deed a perfect match
