http://cnn.cn/shop/apple-iphone-3g3g...er-p-3196.html Have used CNN.CN to repair 2 or 3 iPhones; seems like good quality and cheap. Make sure you get the tools or you'll be pissy at yourself.

They better release this shit soon. My blackberry is fucked up and it would be terribly pointless to grab iphone4 for full price right now.

I'm sitting at 5.2GB usage for the month with 7 days to go yet this billing cycle. I don't tether at all. Just use the browser, Facebook, and Netflix.

If there is one company I have completely lost faith in is certainly RIM. Their OS is a POS. Unless they start getting Android, then they might get somewhere. Even then, their hardware is out dated.

But, I believe it's the first phone coming out with Near Field Communication (NFC). So you can "swipe" your phone to buy shit. Which should be the end of credit cards.

Elaborate please.
Their OS (even OS7) is dated as shit, yes. However, when you pair a lightweight OS with good specs, it really flies. In fact, the hardware is overkill in those things, and the only reason the specs are so unnecessarily nice is because people buy phones these days just based on hardware specs alone, oblivious to who the manufacturer of the device is, how bloatware and updates affect the device, etc... So, again, how is the hardware outdated? Maybe they should have put a dual core into a phone with an OS which can't even use it? Maybe 768MB of RAM just isn't enough? How is the hardware in any way outdated? |

Between iMessage and RIMs probably loss of decent battery life since jacking up their specs I just don't see a reason to stay with them.

Android pumps out crazy specs. Apple has the "it" factor. Both have amazing app ecosystems. RIM is now getting away from the only categories where it had a strangle hold (battery life, security, etc...) to play in the others' backyard. It's gonna be rough for them but who knows. TAT is good people. QNX is a good base for a mobile OS. The main problem now is that the bloggers and press are all piling on the "RIM is dead" bandwagon, and these days that's how people get their tech "knowledge". To be honest, that's RIM's biggest problem at this point. I'm not sure why everyone is foaming at the mouth for the next iteration of the iPhone though. What practical improvements will it really carry? That's what I want to know. Other than reliability issues, what's wrong with the 4? |
