That's a really good point and probably why I'm selfish and wanting more . It was a period in which I was always looking forward to the next show and was guaranteed a good laugh every week

This is only partly true. Yes he wanted some time off but more importantly Comedy Central was asking him to "sell out." They liked that it was racial but wanted it racially charged. They also were adamant that he "dumb it down." He's always been a comic who had some kind of message; when he saw that they were trying to make him get rid of that he left.
