Please don't take this the wrong way, but how can this have been possible?

4000rpm in 1st gear will be about 26mph, in second I think it would be closer to 50mph.

Note to self: schedule future new car pickups after July 4th and New Year's Eve

That sucks, many kids have no sense of respect for other people's property.

That would still not make it possible.

Anyway - doesn't matter how fast you are going - it's no excuse for some clown to throw stuff at your car.

I went over a friend's house and had another friend come over in a old thunderbird...he does a small smoky burnout to show what the "used" car can do.

a min later one of those gardening types woman comes up and said to my friend "I'm gonna call the police"

He said back to her "so what? i don't give a shit, this is a driveway, not the street"

The other friend (one who lives at this house) went inside and got ATF, poured on one of the back wheels and the other friend proceeds to do a mad big smoky burnout afterwards!

The police never came.

Some people are crazy.

I've got a dent from a couple of teenagers throwing a full can of lager at the car. If I could have caught them.... but they legged it and started fence hopping before I could get turned around and after them.

Still makes me mad months later.

Second: MY STORY: Some kid prolly 10yrs old threw fireworks at my car while parked..... i was like what the hell....he was on roller blades and kept going. He came by again i was still still in my car parked threw another bounced off the windsheild exploded. So i chased him down in my car he was trying to run threw grass on roller blades i caught him grab him by the arm firmly and then pretended to call the cops.

He begged and pleaded and apologized... Then I explained to him why he shouldn't do it and y i was pissed.

I told him to imagine if u worked real hard for years to buy your dream car and then it comes and in the first few days some kid throws a firework at it and damages it. How would you like that. He said he would and he was really sorry and i pretened to hang up with the police.

No damage happened to the car just thought id share the story...this happened on the 2nd day of owning my new e92
I sincerely hope the kid learned something from you - you handled that well.

To the OP: I would have done #1. The fact that you saw him do it (or could just as easily say you did) is all you need. I'm sure the cop would be able to find some gravel in the street. Tell the cop that you were not only worried about damage to your car, but that you breifly lost control of it due to being startled - and thank God you didn't hit a kid or parked car or something. Let the asshole deal with having formal charges filed against him. Doesn't matter if he winds up in any trouble - just having to deal with a court date, etc. will make him think twice about being John Wayne for traffic control.

Either that, or I'd have beat the living shit out of him.

I was driving in Brighton (part of Boston) up a very steep hill going about 25, and some young teenage kids threw a trash barrel in front of my car- I swerved into the other lane to avoid it, and then jumped out of my car and chased the kid across a soccer field until I caught him and dumped a red gatorade over his head (I hope it stained his baby blue SD Chargers Jersey!!). Probably not the nicest / most mature decision, but felt good at the time.

That's the best haha.

Kids fucking suck. People don't watch what their damn kids do anymore nor do they really care. If I were one of these kids dad's my foot would have to be surgically removed from his ass prolly once a month. We have kids around my parents house that have slashed tires, walked over cars breaking the front windshields, shooting BB/pellet guns at the side windows, etc.... Their lucky I've never caught them
