Nah, wanted to see it. The new A8 looks sick w/ the new grill, though I wouldn't take it over a 7, still a pretty sweet deal.

i was going to see transporter 2 because champion audi tuned the cars in the movie (and then had to repair them haha) but i heard that it sucked because it was completely unrealistic. my boyfriend saw the cars all crashed haha, movies kill nice cars.

In terms of design I think the A8 is the most beatiful in its class imho.

But they all are way too big/heavy.

--one girl comes in for her first service, she just bought an a4 right before the the new models came and starts screaming and yelling that her salesman neglected to tell her that a new model was coming out. she demands to talk to him and keeps screaming how he is such a lying thieving a*hole that just wants to make a sale and how she is ashamed of having a car that isn't the newest model. she then gets on the phone with her dad and tells him she wants to trade in her several month old car for a brand new a4, he apparently says no because she starts going crazy. she gets off the phone all pissy and starts yelling about how she knows that he has stock options he's selling and how unfair it is that he's hogging all of the money from her.

I'm not sure who should be smacked harder: Children that act that way, or the parents that raised them.........

This happens frequently -but everytime sometimes someone sees my keys, asks what i drive, sees my car, etc.. I get either #1- a lecture about how i should have "saved" my money, #2-dirty ass looks, or #3-reasons why i shouldnt have bought a such an expensive car.

Like today at class, a 19 yr old saw my keys and said "oh what year is your bmw/model?" So i told him- and for like the 1st 10 mins of class, he was telling me .. "why didnt u buy a honda or something, i mean it'll get you where you want to go, plus you could save all that money for something bigger".. THANKS DAD! :finger: :mad:

my job puts me in contact with lots of contractors in the HVAC industry, mostly great guys but when they see my 3 most of them think (incorrectly) that my car was more expensive than their giant trucks and SUV's

people think the BMW is more expensive than it is

Even people from the class of '84 get that deal. "WOW, we must be paying you way too much if you can afford a new 325!" "No, it was only about $125 more than the Dodge Caravan we had, and WAY more fun to drive!"

Kinda liked the W12 in T-2, but the movie was unrealistic. I wish I could drive thru concrete walls to jump from one parking structure to another, then use the copper piping to slow me down to just the edge, and STILL not have a scratch in my paint! The female antagonist in the movie was SKANK!!!

You know what I think...if someone was gonna lecture for why I bought this car, i'd totally snap and be like and whats your problem? I like BMW's and I can afford it. Is it a crime to afford a nice vehicle these days or something?

Yeah thats totally true, cause once they ask me "o how much was it?" they assume i'm going to say around $45-50K, and when i say oh about $39K, then a few will say, "oh thats not too bad".. But i HATE hearing how i should have invested it, or put it towards real estate. Um, yeah i'll really be able to afford a condo in SAN DIEGO putting $40K down. Its more like $100K down...

Dude, think about this way...

What if, God willing one day, I drove a 6 series...would i automatically get the title of rich snob, dont talk to him?

You can look at 3 ways i think. 1.) jealousy like davinet78 earlier.
2.) when they tell you something like that, you go:who gives a #!%$
3.) You like it enough, they don't.

They dont understand, many people dont care about what they drive. I guess they are lucky in a way since they dont have to lay out big money for cars. Oh well I love cars and that is why I have what I do.
