In that "more overhead perspective" The actual end of the toe is considerably narrower than the widest part of the foot bed. In the photo that remains the perspective is a bit lower thus obscuring said difference.

The color in the picture kind of sucks but the combo is okay. Like others said, a lighter brown would be better.

You'll also notice it's nearly impossible to find a square toe shoe made by a quality shoe maker.

lol flaunt it if you got it :P I see this older gentleman at work sometimes who looks like he's in his 50's but he wears the new modern fitted suits and looks pretty good in them ( no homo ) I think it's all about attitude and how well you can wear it, regardless of age.
