this is the exact reason why Green does NOT mean Go! When my light turns green, the first thing I always do is look both ways.

This is one of the first things I always quiz new drivers on. I ask them, "What does it mean when your stop light turns green?" Their answer is almost ALWAYS "Go." I usually then gently tear them a new one, but now I have a nice video to do that for me.

Two of my friends were killed a couple of months apart by idiot drivers. One friend Mike, was killed around 11am on a Sunday by a drunk chick.

Sorry to hear that, I've had a few friends go due to drunk-driving related incidents.

If you're caught driving under the influence, the following should happen, no trial, no attorneys, no bullshit plea bargaining:

1) License suspended for 1-year, no questions.
2) $5,000 fine
3) 30 days in the slammer, no questions.
4) 100 hours in a DUI traffic school to learn how to drive
5) A trip to the morgue (this already happens I believe)
