I was a bit worried once I saw pin, but ended up putting it in anyway since it deff lookd like ebay's page. Well like an idiot, afte putting all that info in and posting my ad, I decided to look further into that, and it seems as if it was the stupidest move I ever made cause thats probably some scam... So my question now is, SHOULD I B WORRIED? I emmediately called my banck and told them i needed to cancel my acct number. Gonna go in tom to get my new card, with new acct number and of course pin. However, they still have my name SS# and DOB. So.....

Before you totally freak... in windows:

Code:
start->run->cmd

then

c:\> nslookup www.ebay.com

then

c:\> nslookup ebay.com
post the results.

If you have a Mac, open a Terminal then enter the commands in bold below:

Code:
osx ~ % nslookup ebay.com
Server: 10.61.32.1
Address:	10.61.32.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:	ebay.com

osx ~ % nslookup www.ebay.com

Non-authoritative answer:
www.ebay.com	canonical name = hp-core.ebay.com.

again, paste the results here. It would also help if you told me the name of your ISP. The problem here is that if you've been phished, there's a good chance a trojan has changed your DNS servers to point to "rogue" DNS servers. It may be possible (albeit unlikely) to start identifying your attackers if you get the IP addresses of their DNS servers. Additionally, you'll want to make sure you change those settings.

Any time i get one of those please fill in this information request and I am not it is legit, I first use bogus information since if it is really and they are validating then it will come back and tell it is wrong. Even time it is one of those bogus scammer websites acting like the real thing it just takes the bad information and acts like everything is okay.

I have a buddy who wrote a script which just puts in random information in those websites so to fill up their data base with bogus information.

Hopefully, hopefully, nobody will try to use your social security number for anything. Because if you have to go through getting a new SS# it's going to be really unpleasant. But you can't really worry about that at this point, it's out of your hands. So just focus on the things you can do - change accounts, PINs, passwords, etc.

You should also put a freeze on your credit reports.

You may also want to change your driver's license number, but it's probably not worth doing unless there is confirmed fraud activity taking place under your name.

And if any fraud does happen, get police reports for all of it. Keep multiple copies in different places, because you don't want this stuff following you around and haunting you when you apply for credit or try to get a job. People who are victims of ID theft have to spend a lot of time proving their innocence. It sucks.

Check out the ID Theft board on this site, there are a lot of experts on there. http://www.creditboards.com/forums/
Excellent info. I actually already called the 3 credit bureau's and had them put freezes on my accounts. She said by doing this nothing can happen. however, the only problem with this is that if I try to do anything its gonna b a pain since they first have to verify its me.
