A friend of mine got one and after a few drives I had to get one

Honestly, it's not the perfect car. Our 6-speed auto is far superior to the SMG and the low-end torque of the N54 is also better than the V10s BUT once you open that engine past 5500 rpm it roars to life. The steering in the 335 is also heavier which I prefer but I have not decided which of the two cars have the better steering. |

The 6MT has had its fair share of problems as well. Overheats. Not surprising as it is an E39 carryover. SMG, sadly or happily, is best suited for the engine

The Stiff steering in your 335 is because of the AWD.
The M5 is a beast...congrats. I sold one with 9k miles about 7-8 months ago...boy am I upset with that decision. |

Hmmm, totally different animals
N54 = immediate torque, subdued sound, smooth all the way, surprising good mpg for the power
S85 = amazing sound, huge power past 5500 RPM, horrible mpg (11.8 right now) Both engines are impressive. No matter how much I think the M5 is sweet I will always have a fondness for the 335i. The 335i is the better daily driver especially if it's chipped (i only has an SSTT in it and only for a few months at a time). |

N54 has an awful throttle lag that you simply won't find on the NA ///M V10
