As a former Mustang guy I have to say that Ford has lost its mind in the styling area on this car. Ugly is ugly no matter what angle you look at it from. On the other hand they lost their mind marketing a car for 75K+ that can't be driven legally on the streets. For 70 grand someone who wanted a full on mustang drag car could buy a base model V6 gut it and put in a Twin Turbo 5.4 aluminum block with the right suspension and trans for less than the 75-95k they are charging. Granted it will run 10's like the 2008 CJ did but who cares? For 95 grand you can buy a new viper or a ZR1 for a little more that will as well and be a fully street legal car.

Buy a GT500 and put a set of drag radial and you got yourself a street legal dragster for under 52K$.

You've got a street legal dragster that you can't actually race. The whole point of this car is that it's complying with all the NHRA rules, and is race ready right out of the box. This thing's aimed at sponsered teams that are running a full season. |

The other day I was behind a Cobra with all sorts of little extras like a modded exhaust, track tires and even a license plate holder with interweaving snakes. Looked/sounded impressive, but definitely not a DD. That car was not happy in heavy traffic.

All you guys bitching about the looks miss the entire point of this car.
It's designed to race, not be pretty. Racers care about going fast above all else, and this will do just that. Here's what it's meant for: |

Is it too much to ask that you actually read the first post in the thread? Drag racing is ITS ONLY PURPOSE IN LIFE. It's not a street car. Quote:

That is why they are also offering a track suspension (as is with corners) for the Mustang.
I don't understand why all the snobby little bitches on this site can't show a little respect for one of the only companies that is actually giving customers what they are asking for (within the limits of running a business). To FORD I say |

As if the skinnies and fat slicks in the back weren't already enough of an indicator, you decided to bring it up anyway?
