my 1505 sucks for gaming. hl2 is not very demanding and with my core duo and x1400 gc it sucks... and when I returned the m1210 they send a bill for it even though they got it back...

i bought my first computer off them and got ripped off so bad. dell is overpriced not only for the crap it is but compared to sony not really cheaper when u get windows xp pro, tax, office software. Sony makes better laptops than dell. My first computer was a 300m and it came out to 2300 with xp and office. I didn't have a computer so I couldn't get online coupons so u pay much more if u call and order.

home computer was purchased online through dell small business. never had to call in for anything, so i have no idea how their customer support is. work computer was purchase by the puchasing dept at my company. i know they have a rep, but i have no idea how their relationship is. any issues, i'll contact our IT dept first. then again, i haven't had any issues with it. also, i have no idea how IT's relationship is with dell customer service. lastly, all the computers at my work are dell.

dell is only overpriced if you pay retail. otherwise, they are actually cheap. i used to build my computers since I was 16, but now its just cheaper to buy it, keep it 3-4 years, and then pass it down to someone or donate it and get the latest and greatest. i have been subscribing to this philosophy for the past few years now. besides, there are a lot of improvements in system boards, more now than in the past, so just swapping the cpu out is not so great anymore.
