i like 04-05 sti more than a 355i. don't know why, it has that crazy unique look to it, especially the blue with gold rims one. it sounds very unique as well.

but if you are talking about new. the new evo is very nice. I love the recaro seats.

The main thing is do you need four doors? Or even 4 seats for that matter. If not the 370z, Camaro SS and 135i are all good options. The Camaro will be cheapest to maintain and work on. There is also a large aftermarket for the LS and VQ engines.

If you need one car to do it all and plan on carrying some stuff and people the STI is a good option. The Evo's seats don't even fold down.

+1 for the Camaro & LS engines. They can get even 28 MPG highway with 400+ hp stock.

But for the VQ engines, to get power out of them you need $$$ and not much gains.

Even a TT G35 with 900 hp will only get you 12 sec 1/4 mile time.
