Yes you can make your own homemade electrolyte but the purpose of the thread is what commercial product do others use and why? Obviously, I like to think we're a little more advance in our information than our ancestor was. Anyone can survive just eating rice and drinking water all their life. I like a little meat in mine

I won't argue with you on that one bit. But what doesn't these days. You have to search and search for products without it and then pay extra for it unfortunately.

Whether you're lifting weights or running on a treadmill, a protein drink after a workout is essential to muscle growth and recovery. If you're asking why would you run and need protein? Personally, I would do it cause I'm building muscles and need the recovery time for the following day.

There should be a Fitness/Health sub-forum made.
No, seriously, there should be.

Is this really a serious question?
Rats, johnny got to answering it before I did. I always take a scoop of whey protein in before and after I work out. Also when right when I wake up and before I go to bed. |

There are many people who work out here. After working out for a while, you venture out and do research on things to make your sessions as efficient as possible. IE, lurking on sites like bodybuilding.com will make you that much more knowledgeable. I gave my input on the quality/purity of water based on the field I'm in, which is environmental health.
I doubt anyone here is actually certified, maybe except for Bobby Light. |

A lot of those so called "nutritionist" don't know shit. They take some 5 hour class and get a certificate. Just the same, it's as easy to become a personal trainer.
If you read up enough you can learn far more than some nutritionist and separate fact from myth. As well as trial and error things. |

You need BCAA's for intraworkout. L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine, Glutamine, Citrulline Malate, and Vitamin B6. Brock Lesnar uses the gatorade powder packs and adds bcaa powder to the mix during his workouts. I do the same, works well. I'm using grape wrath at the moment, but also like xtend by SciVation.
