You used a marco lens? That is a nice up close shop...seemed he was content to pose for you . My next lens I want is a macro lens, anyone know any good ones for a sony a200? Also I have a sony 75-300 lens, is it considered a Telescopic lens?

I used a Canon 100mm macro lens with kenko tubes and a 1.4x teleconverter...the thing was so tiny, it took a while to figure out where its face was. It was moving around, but I took enough pics to luck out and get him/her in focus.

I have no experience with Sony's macro lenses, but I would guess that they would make something similar to a 100mm. Some people like a longer macro, so they can stand farther away without disturbing the creatures.

Here is another shot taken with the lens:

^^^ nice pics. Does anyone leave their settings alone when shooting? Ok for instance I usually screw around with exposure and leave ISO as it, but I love the vivid setting and it's always on, although I feel like I wasted money on a polarized filiter, where I instead I could have used the vivid setting the whole time. Photography is a great hobby, def. better and cheaper than REALLY shooting

Thanks. I had a 430ex shooting through a satin umbrella to the right and a 580ex on the floor to the left with a stofen omni bounce.

I've become more curious about lighting lately. What are you using to trigger your flashes?

you'll never be able to get anything out of camera settings that you can with a polarizing filter.

I use alienbees triggers: http://www.alienbees.com/remotes.html Good price and have worked flawlessly for years now.
