What is crazy is that 400-430 would probably take it.

Geez... that's ridiculously cheap. A house similar to that on LI would easily cost anywhere from $800k-$1.5 mil

Some people knock Texas for whatever reason(s). Being I was born here I am used to the heat/humidity etc..

If I lived elsewhere and had the mobilty to relocate I would have to consider Texas. You really can't beat the "bang for the buck" here. The job market remains fairly strong in most markets/fields.

The weather is really quite nice except for June-August...sometimes into early September. An yes, it can be brutal. 80 degrees at 6am.

I am an early bird. Always have been.

I have met/been with plenty of women in Dallas/Houston who "loved" my car at the time. No more thank you. I now prefer the ones who could give a rats ass about a car.

From experience, all I got from the others was a sore ---- and a sore wallet.
I guess it was fun though.

Spaceman Spiff, I'm moving to Trinidad as well! Haha...It's so bad in my area, seeing a Bentley is no longer a "holy sh*t!" experience.

Being in a E90 (albiet a 335) means no one notices me. (and I like it that way ) I still get excited when I see an ///M car.

There are a ton of bimmers driving around my region.. Surprisingly I get a lot of thumbs ups in my E92 M3.. at least once a day.. I think it's the sound of the V8 + aftermarket exhaust they are attracted to..

Yes the real estate market in greater metropolitan areas in california are less then accommodating. Makes me want to move out and get a ranch somewhere. Perhaps even two ranches

back on topic: The rice rockets love to do fly bys on me, I frequently almost get clipped. Sigh the only thing I regret driving around So-cal.... so many shitty drivers. And wtf is up with all the aftermarket HID kits on all sorts of low entry japanese cars?? The 210 literally turns into a rave past 8PM no joke

Those TX home prices are in-fcuking-credible.

FWIW, I followed a Ferarri F430 and Lambo Gallardo home on the freeway after work last night. Now those are hot cars that you notice. The E9x, not so much.

On nice weekends around McLean and Great Falls, you'll see several exotics as people break out their weekend toys. During the week, it's a lot more unusual.

Wow, those TX homes are awesome for the price. Here in Mobile, you can get a home like that first one for $490,000 easy as long as you aren't TOO close to downtown. Same with Birmingham, just as it's not in one of the ritzy suburbs close to downtown. Exactly why plenty of people are moving to Alabama once they actually let go of rural stereotypes and discover how great metropolitan Alabama is. Gotta love Southern lifestyle!

Back to on topic, yes, the ricers are VERY frustrating. Go out at night and its like Fast and Furious all over down here too and they all try to race. All I can do is just shake my head and laugh at them, and keep my distance as they drive like morons.
