I second the Subie. It is FAST, has one of the worlds greatest AWD, and gets very decent MPG.

Why no RX? This is for the wife, right? I'm kind of in the same boat you are (only a year or two out) and I have to admit, I was taken aback when she said she was partial to the RX. But at the end of the day, it's her car, it's completely worry free, and the resale value can't be beat. Just some things to consider...

Have you test drove the Toyota highlander? It's reliable and rides very smooth as it is based on a Camry chassis I believe... I'm guessing the reason why you don't like the RX350 is the look?

When did they announce pricing on this? How do you know it's too expensive? It could possibly be 40K or a hair over.

Nissan Murano...We have a loaded one with everything except Nav, it has backup camera too...for like 36k...Great car great power
