have played this a few hours now, enough to buy a 135i (blue) and a gt-r (god i want one!)
the 135i drives very nicely, although it is definitely a grunty low rev type of engine compared to other cars in the game. the game works flawlessly with the logitech driving force pro. the ff effects are quite precise, even better than in gt4. as much as i loved gt4, this game is so much better, as the drawing distance now rivals one's actual vision now that the resolution is so good. also, the lighting effects (bright sun after going under a bridge) are really good at reproducing the adaptation your eyes go through in the same circumstance. all in all, i'm very pleased. i look forward to the addition of damage and weather effects. |

Im going to be picking this up soon. Getting GTA IV tonight! How is the logitech driving force pro? Does it have a shifter and pedals with a clutch? Im looking for something to replicate driving a manual shift. Most wheels ive seen are only wheels with paddles or a crappy stick and no pedals.
Maybe ill see you on the multiplayer soon ;-P |

no clutch on driving force pro-- just paddles and a sequential style knob.
there are clutch pedals on the logitech g25 (pricey), but i'm not sure they are supported by this game. my psn screen name is jfdg -- see you online! |

The clutch pedal is supported, more of a fun thing to have. Not sure how the feel would be...
It seems in that game that the performance simulation is way off - I wonder if they factor in the torque curves when they design the different performance of the cars. It seemed like the RSX has too much torque down low and the 135 not enough. Also at high speed the cars seem to pull way to hard - I doubt a Z06 pulls that hard in 6th at 180mph (the ZR-1, maybe). |

Highly Recommended for those who are waiting for their 135i
I bought a Sony Playstation 3 the other day and bought Gran Turismo 5 Prologue with the Logitech Gran Turismo Steering Wheel. It's simply amazing especially if used with a high resolution 1080p plasma or lcd. I mainly bought the PS3 and the game for the 135i and so far I haven't been disappointed. The only problem is it takes ages to unlock all the cars but this is always the case with Gran Turismo games.
If you are after a real life simulation I highly recommend getting this set up. The Logitech Gran Turismo Steering wheel is awesome too. I can't play without it! It actually feels a bit like the actual M steering wheel in the 135i. It's small, thick and meaty and the rotations are life like. Sadly, this is as close as I'm going to get to the real thing until my 135i finally arrives here in Australia next year but it's making the wait alot easier!!! |

You also have to watch out. GT5Prolouge is still being fixed. It's not a finished product. Hell before the first patch the GT-R was very "fun" to drive with certain tires.
The AI is still to perfect. (yes it takes work to make the AI imperfect drivers) and I guess they are still having dynamics issues. I ended up going back to GT4 with my Driving Force Pro setup because with a CRT HDTV the feeling in the wheel, and what you see on the screen arn't synced perfect yet either. Also I'd swear Prolouge has "Rah Rah Japan" issues. Just like the GT4 prolouge did. It seems like Japanese cars will always be faster. |

its weird that the IS-F can bear the E92 M3 COUPE to 100 km/h me and my cousin tried it a couple times and the IS-F is always faster, even though factory figures state otherwise

I played the earlier versions a lot, up until GT4. I hated that because of the menus, having that stupid map you had to scroll all around and find the dealers, tracks, etc., just annoyed the hell out of me and as such I didn't play it much. Forza on the other hand is pretty damn straightforward and I played that a lot and have run all the single player races. So have they improved the menu system in prologue, and does anybody know what the full game will be like? If GT5 is good, I'll buy a PS3, but otherwise I'm going to stick with my XBox and hope the 135i gets added to Forza.
