In 2019 my 530 took 4 days to get to WA from VDC.

However this was 14 days after arriving at VDC due to various parts being installed.

So yes 2-3 weeks.

Guess I’ll get it in January 2025.

Does higher price or being a customer sold priority order have any rank to get on the ship before dealer cars?

I don’t know about the timing on that side of the pond, but from what I’ve been told, once it reaches the State-side terminal, Priority 1 “Customer Sold” vehicles are shipped first.

Last year, I got into port on 12/17 and was loaded on a truck to Seattle on 12/24. I took delivery on 12/30. There was a stop sale, which is why I had a few days delay before getting on the truck. The dealer also had it for 3 days before I took delivery. So, mine was 13 days with the stop sale which took about 4 days extra.

Price has no impact but "priority 1" = customer sold does have higher priority.

So car didn’t get on today’s ship. Next ones are 11/25 and 11/26. Sure hope it gets on one of them.

Status is 195 In Transit but per dealer’s BMW status page 160-199 means Produced Not Shipped.

Anyone know why?

That's odd, as my understanding was that '195' means its left Germany.

193 Arrived at Port of Exit
194 Selected for Shipment
195 Shipped from Port of Exit
196 Shipment Arrival at destination port

It’s odd that the dealer gets a visual representation that completely differs from the BMW mobile app. Why BMW chooses to display it from that perspective is beyond me.

The fact that they jockey the “At the port” and “in transit” steps back and forth is stupid too. Just add “At the VPC” or “At the port in your Country” and “In transit to Dealership”. 🤦‍♂️

Mine is build week 47 but presumably will ship to Balmer and then overland - it will be interesting to see how their trips compare. Mine is "dispatched from factory" but has yet to hit "at the port."

So just 13 days after production, my 540 is on ship that left Bremerhaven today, due into Port Hueneme 12/22/24.

Looks like it will be in January 2025 to complete this purchase unless BMW pushes it through to complete sale in 2024.

Definitely frustrating. No one will ever convince me that our build experience has been "normal". People who order in November, on the ships before week 36 540s, lol.

BMW messed it up, and now they are trying to boost logistics and production so that they can start selling them after those recalls.

But it is frustrating for you guys who ordered them a long time ago to see us getting them so fast when BMW finally manages to put their stuff together.
