I also told her that since the update i physically have to touch the door handle to open the car after it has been idle in the garage overnight. She said it is a related issue that will be fixed in the November software update. Seems to be a timing issue, I usually get home around 7 PM and leave at around 8 the next morning. When I am at the office and have to leave after a few hours, no problem with the car opening as I approach

She was very knowledgeable and helpful and suggested to use the chargepoint to set the time slot as mentioned above.
The problem with a November release is that it doesn’t get released for months after that. My July release came in October!
As a side note My e sim is broken again after working for several days.

Exactly the same for me, I received the July release just last week and have been having the problem since then. The person I spoke with told me the dealership will receive the November update much faster than I will. She suggested I take it to the dealership to have the software updated instead of waiting.

Brought my car into the dealer to get safety recall sorted out. They updated my software to 11/2024 and now the time slot charging works!

Anyone get the 11/2024 OTA update yet?

Anyone else have an update to the not charging in time slot issue? My car just came back from a few day stay at the dealership due to a flat tire and the tires are on back order. They said they looked at this issue and couldn’t replicate it. I’m still on the July software update and didn’t realize until reading here that the November update was out.

I had the same issue with tires being on back order. BMW finally just ordered them from Tire Rack. I’m also on the July software update. I have never tried scheduling charging as my electricity rate is the same any time of day or night.

Yes the Nov/2024 update fixes the charging issue, at least it did for me.
