Probably Tesla issues. Ford was the first. We are still waiting for our free NACS adapter. They started sending them out in February. Hyundai is putting in NACS in their 2025 models. But, they won’t get programmed into Tesla until Ford is completed. So, they will have to get a CCS adapter. I think everyone will just get whatever and carry an adapter.

A rep from BMW said that they should be widely available next year and implied that it will be free.

Got the Vegas Red, Black/Atlas Grey Extended Merino Leather and 20" 938M Wheels w/ All Season Tires.
This is my second custom ordered BMW. Super excited, but the wait is quite long.

Coincidence? At least three people on this board have posted that their orders -- placed between the end of July and now -- have been pushed to January. I'm wondering if all the i5M60s have been significantly delayed. Anyone have an insight?

I was told a while ago that 2025 i5 production was not starting until January, and that they weren’t making any more M60’s until then.

I just got an email from BMW NA that my 2025 i5M60 has moved to "Production Begins" status! And I have a VIN!!! I can seen oncoming headlights way down the proverbial tunnel.....

You can Google BMW Chrome trick to see some hidden data and the actual production date on myGarage. Production begins doesn't mean anything is actually being produced, though, only that parts, etc. are being gathered together.

Finally progress! My car has just moved to “Exterior Assembly Begins.” Production date is 1/15/25.

This tends to support the idea that the production date is actually at the end of production, not the start.
