My car just got back from bmw last week for a software update to 11/2023.58

I called my dealer to update my software cause i was offered an update 30 days ago then it just disappeared dealer said they don't do software updates what? I'm going to call another dealer

Mine went in today for "B160124 Service Action: Program Control Units (IFM/TFE)" which is requiring the dealer to update the car to the latest software version.

Hey I Called support today an they mentioned this service action but my dealer told me they dot update firmware is that true

Not true. I got my car back today and everything is updated to the latest software ending in .58. The service bulletin was also addressed and it's all written on my paperwork

I know this can seem petty but, I’ll mention it because it irritates me. The last update I installed an update on my M5C it dramatically reduced my exhaust burbles on deceleration. That was, literally, the only change I noticed. It was no where in any of the update notes. I’m very apprehensive to install this update for fear of some new Easter egg popping up. Again, I admit the pettiness of my issue but, if they’re going to change something like that they should, at least, put it in the notes to let the end user make their decision based on all of the changes not slide them in under the radar. /WhineyRantOver

I don’t think that’s petty at all, after all you’ve bought that model for the very fact it’s got the noise….. agree they should have a list of changes for the/any update….

Same here , was notified via app there is a OTA software update avail. later in day notified it was done downloading and to connect to car. I was already on latest. I think the BMW connect app grabbed over 1gb of my phone. would love to delete. don't see how to delete. was hoping for update and I still have nagging "ACTIVATING" services from purchasing Welcome Light Animations. BMW USA can't resolve my issue was told earlier this week to wait for new OTA to clear the activating message.

what firmware are you on my car is at least a rev behind the OTA that offered 30 plus days ago never installed it did include update to the welcome lights its going to the dealer in a few days there going to do the service bulliten
and update the firmware cause my car is just not getting offiered the update again and I don't see that welcome light app on the app store I think they pull it like parking assit plus

I am currently on 11/2023.47....Activating the Welcome Light Animation still has not gone away.

In the app under vehicle status. At the very bottom is remote software upgrade. Click that to see the current software version.

So I got the car back from the dealer they did the service bulletin and upgraded the firmware I'm now at the latest and parking asst plus show back up in the app store and the welcome light animation I was able to buy and activate both with no issues

if it's going in for the service bulletin the latest firmware will be applied automatically that's what my advisor told me and it it happened
