Similar but not the same. Totally new construction on the seat

On the G60c the standard seats do not have power adjustable head rests.
The luxury seating package adds the power adjustable head rest feature.

Has anyone actually sat in the sports seats and the so-called comfort seats and can share his experiences?
During the test drive I was only able to try out the sports seats (standard seats). I actually found it quite good for driving. |

Lastly, I think the M60 has the luxury seats by default, where the eDrive40 does not. So, if you test drive each one, you will probably be trying the two different seat types. |

I’ve sat in both. Sports are comfortable but I did find the comfort more comfortable so went with them.

I think you’re right. For one, the comfort seats have the adjustable side bolster width on the seatback. Same feature as on the G30 comfort seats that standard sport seats don’t have.

Just a quick update. I spoke to the BMW genius line this morning and they confirmed that the luxury seats are, indeed, both cosmetically and structurally different than the standard sports seats.

Hello. This is my first post here. I could say of my i5 eDrive40 M Sport that “I bought the car for the seats.” I did order the Luxury Seating Package in my i5, in an attempt to help the disaster area that is my back.
Because I have yet to sit in any G60 that did not have the Luxury Seating Package, I cannot comment on the standard seats in i5. The i5 M60 I test drove included the Luxury Seating Package as standard. The moment I sat in that car with the intention to drive it, I knew that those seats were excellent. After less than four hundred miles, I can report that my i5 seats in Veganza are among the most comfortable and useful that I happen to have owned in a car. At first blush they compare favorably to my former 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature, whose seats (with unique construction among the CX-5 lineup, and covered in Nappa leather I think) were the best I ever had until these. The means and range of adjustability is enough for me. My preference is not to be fiddling with most seat adjustments while driving. So having just the few basic ones controlled by hardware is fine. Also notable is that the heating in these seats is serious. Really nice. This was particularly impressive to me, like a a return to normalcy, since the seat heating in my former 2023 i4 eDrive40 was insipid. I have yet to use the ventilation in these seats. |

I have the CX-9 Signature edition with Nappa. Those are nice seats. I find the i5 a bit more comfortable, but I only took a 30 minute test drive. The CX-9 seats got way to hot for me. I haven’t tried i5 heating. I will miss my Jaguar which has separate controls for the seat back and cushion. I have back arthritis and it was nice just heating my back.

There is the "Seat heating distribution" setting in climate control settings.

That could very well be true. It's difficult to know which sales people actually know for a fact. Thanks.

G60 Seat Versus outgoing Multi Contour on G30?
I have a G30 and have complained the seats are not comfortable even with Multi Countour Nappa (Stiff in my opinion) with Venitlation and massage. The ride quality of the G30 also feels stiff. I have sat in the G60seats and they seem better. Can anyone testify to seat comfort? Are the bolsters a bit wider on the seat cushion to not grab you under your thighs as much? Thoughts on seat comfort on G60 versus outgoing 30? Unfortunately with the G30 MC seats had to have ventilation and massage with leather to get them after LCI. I do not like those seats and hope the G60 is better. I have even driven the MC seats in Europe on the G30 (Non leather) and found them much better (Non massage feature so softer). US versions seem much stiffer on the G30 since you need to order all the options to get them (BMW Fail). Thoughts on the G60 seats?

I will let others chime in on the seats. I have a similar body build to you just 1 inch shorter. I have never found Bimmer seats comfortable aside form my nonleather comfort seats in Europe (Sensatec) that were perfect. I think you are right that the G60 might be more comfortable, wider, and less bolstering on the thigh.

In my brief seat time in the G60 I'll say that the veganza seats are way, way softer and more comfortable than the luxury seats in my G30 with Dakota leather. That leather is of rather poor quality and is very hard. I think I was sitting in the luxury seats in the G60 but they might have been the sports seats. Whatever they were, they were extremely cosseting, soft and comfortable. I would always opt for the luxury seating package regardless.

I think the stock seats on the G60 are sports seats with Veganza. I agree on the comfort MC Nappa seats on the G30. Very firm. Why is that? Is it the massage or ventilation? That should not be the case *(BMW Fail). My Euro rental was pure comfort with the same seat in non-leather. I wonder if I can import a European non leather MC comfort seat?

Just order the luxury seating package in Veganza.
Problem solved I would think. |
