And the Brooklyn gray doesn’t do it favors. A car shouldn’t have to be black to look good. But the Brooklyn gray is a negative. Not a good color for the 5 I don’t think.

The version will be exactly alike.

I think the side skirts are to hide the height required by the battery. ICE won’t need that. So maybe it will lose those and not be so tall. Otherwise, yes it will.

I said it in another thread, I think the G60 would look awesome if BMW would paint the rocker covers and lower bumper trims a different color than the rest of the car, like they did on the E34 M5. Anyone with photoshop skills want to take a stab at it on the Dakota Grey car in this thread? If that one were mine, I'd paint the lower stuff a darker shade of grey or maybe a light silver.

What’s wrong with the kidneys? Those look preproduction or something. We have seen tons of electric cars with solid front grills, but these look awful. What happened?

I like it!!

I just wish the front and rear didn't have so much black on the bumper surround. I would love this in a nice gray but hate how much black there is. If i were to get one of these i'd go with the sapphire black really dig that color.

I respectfully have no idea how anyone can look at these pictures and say they look similar with a straight face.

They increased the height of the hood so that it looks almost as bulbous as the FWD-based 2-series. They made it even worse by running the headlights up into the hood shutlines.

They turned the hoffmeister kink into a mushy junction with a cheater panel of black plastic.

They tried to make the side look slimmer with a plain piece of gloss black plastic rocker surface, but that illusion will go away the moment it gets even mildly dirty or dusty.

The rear sloping roof is in a no-man's land of fastback and notchback, so it looks like an unathletic camelback.

If the 5-series was a person, the G60 is its 30-years-post-retirement physique.

looks terrible.

im sure it'll sell well. nobody seems to care anymore. at some point driving dynamics and unassuming looks made the badge, but maybe now 99% of buyers are just in it for the badge.

What kind of savage takes the charging port cover and just let’s it hang there on the paint? Black paint at that.

The one thing that hurts this car is the horrible wheel selections BMW has.....the i7 has crappy looking wheels, too. Can't remember the last time a 5 series generation didn't have at least 1 good wheel choice. I'd be more inclined to totally black the wheels out just to hide them.

Yeah that's a thinker. There's no hook or holder for it , it just dangles there when charging? Also, to me it looks like such a premium vehicle in black. Great car that'll be selling like hotcakes!

Might be, but overall dimensions of the car won't change.

Aside from the height? No, they won’t. I don’t see the big debate here.
