People just don't get what you're speaking on. You literally never truly own a Tesla, they always own it being its software on wheels. Now they're even restricting the vehicles functions remotely to minimize warranty repairs for failure components. Latest was the adjustment of the seats would be deactivated if you changed the seat position to many times. |

I get where you're going, but I don't know that a self incrimination/double jeopardy amendment is exactly analogous. I mean….we are tracked all day by our cellular phones. It's really no different than Elon's wonder-mobile.

. https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/fourth_amendment . For what it's worth, with our cell phones we can somewhat opt out by turning off Location-Services, and/or turning off other Apps that track us (find my iPhone, Friends, Wayz, etc. etc.). Although cell tower location data is still being collected when on any cellular network. However, unlike with cell phones, with a Tesla there is no "turning off" tracking or opting out available as far as I know. If I'm wrong, I'm certain someone will correct me. My own personal iPhone spends more time on Airplane mode (with WiFi calling enabled) than it spends on the cell network, and it still has Location Services turned off. In fact, I've disabled so much of my iPhone tracking settings many functions no longer work properly anymore. I'm way beyond the traditional tinfoil hat fashions nowadays. More like a tinfoil body suit. So much for the 4th amendment and a warrant being needed. Just buy a Tesla. Heck it's probably recording everything said in the cabin just like our cell phones... .

….you and I are one in the same. I, too, keep privacy settings in play. I have found that Tesla's often tell on their drivers too. Whenever a Tesla is in a crash, the video recording generally tells me all that I need to know. |

The thing that gets me is how HIGH that heavy pig flew! According to what I heard, the driver was going 55mph. Now I haven't seen the road he jumped in person. So I have no clue how steep the road angles are. But man that heavy tesla FLEW for DAYS only going 55mph.

It's possible, but leaving the scene escalated the gravity of the crime. LAPD will find him and arrest him.

The other main point of the video was him and group of Tesla owners all making their cars fart simultaneously. I regret giving him the view and will not do so again. |

An example I found:
YouTube Partners make money based off of a few criteria: Video views Subscribers Ads Here's a general breakdown of how much YouTube Partners make based on these criteria: $2.5 to $5 per 1000 views (for the intents of this answer, we'll use the lower range). $0.05 per Subscriber Ads is a bit more difficult to answer clearly, so we'll just leave that off for now. So, let's see how Psy is doing at the time of this answer: 319,052,309 video views 811,299 Subscribers So 319,052 x 2.5 = $797,630 811,299 x 0.05 = $40564.95 Adding them together makes: $838,194.95. Not bad for one video So, subtracting out the cost of the car and legal fees/fines, the idiot is likely still making big $$ for that stunt. |

Listen older Me (as I think about my kids now in their late teens and 20s) - thinks this is dumb appreciates the danger and risk and it scares me. I also am sorry for the impacted neighbors (attention and the cars)
However I must confess living in SoCal we had a home in Lake Havasu AZ as I was growing up. As a teen I would go there often to boat, jetski, scooter, watch dirt racing at sarah park (yes it wasn't paved back then) and generally be dumb. We aslo had a big "jump street" by us. We would do multiple runs increasing our speed by 5 MPH each time - my 1987 Audi Quattro made beautiful landings and I typically stopped when things didnt go so well - that said I had many friends that busted front suspension and windshields out of their Trucks/SUVs going for more distance I think our generation was likely influenced heavily by our weekly viewing of dukes of hazard (insert dixy horn here) Just keeping things real and honest....it would be hypocritical for me to clutch my pearls over this one.
