Because I'm getting it for free right now. When I bought my Bimmer it included one year of service. Furthermore, I also like Sirius XM because of the variety of stations it offers and I can stream it anywhere. It's only 5 bucks so it's not a big deal.
That's $60 a year. Waste not, want not. lol

It means something to me because I'm retired and living on a fixed income. Yes, I have savings but I never want to touch it.

I was thinking about getting it but I wasn't sure it was worth it. Regular Prime Music is so much better than Sirius and the free catalog is pretty amazing.

I will check out Prime Unlimited. Thanks.

They got me once with their "renews at the normal rate the following year" and billed me $299 for what could have cost me $90, and I've never signed up again.

I prefer music that doesn't cut out in parking garages and under bridges and tunnels anyway.

What's the benefit of SiriusXM? I feel like there is so much free content on Spotify or Pandora, why pay anything?

No commercials and not having to use cell data are the big perks for me.

You ought to check it out. If you don't like it and feel it isn't worth the extra money, you can always cancel. It's month-to-month. Catalog is much larger and as I said earlier, the sound quality is better as well.

I must have been listening to the wrong stations, the DJ's always seemed to be long winded and it always felt like a commercial to me. I just want music

There definitely are some stations or peak times where they do that but most of the times and stations I listen to are just music

I always negotiate. Right now I am paying for my 340i and my parents x5 for a total of $5 per month. Wife's new car trial period ends at the end of March and I will add her new car to my plan. It's all I listen to. Regular radio here in Cincinnati is pretty much garbage. Except for talk radio / Cincinnati Reds broadcast on 700WLW.

Observation?

I've been calling them for 2 years now - I've spoken to 3-4 different races. Doesn't matter as long as they get me the deal

Lol, perhaps. It ends up taking longer than it should though. I won't elaborate any further.

Understandable. Lack of profiency with language is frustrating to deal with, as a customer.

Nice! Yeah I've been noticing that offer floating around. Good deal. I think you might find a lot more stuff to listen to now.

I thought my reply was pretty polite, at least for me.

We're just bustin' balls. Don't take it personally.

Having said that, you should try and re-negotiate the deal you got. I still think you're paying too much, but if you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

I've always negotiate the SXM. It's really individual, at what price point is it no longer a 'value' to some that may be more, to me not so. 3 cars and I can only drive one at a time. Hell, now we are all paying more for gas! Weird surprise, my new to me 2011 E93 has a hard drive 'loaded' with the previous owner's music stash. Lot's of hip hop and electronica.

Yeah I actually hardly even listen to Sirius XM in my car because I have a ton of my music stored on a jump drive which sounds way better anyway. I do stream music on my computer at work though so it's usually between Amazon or Sirius XM. Good stations on YouTube as well.
