Lewis wasn’t the only one pissed or screwed by Masi’s decision at the end of that race. Just the most. Hence this decision was being pushed way more than just by MB/Lewis. They are trying to hide the results of the investigation into what happened at the end of that race and it’s only pissing of more people inside F1 and out.

There's no asterisk next to Prosts name for his 89 championship where they actually banned Senna for something they reversed their opinion on in 1990.

There will never be an asterisk next to Max's name for winning the 21 championship - guaranteed.

Nah. Whatever buzzfeed thinks about what happened will be forgotten in a few weeks and history will be written in stone as Max dethroned Lewis in one of the greatest seasons of all time.

No one is going to put an asterisk on Lewis' overinflated stats thanks to his car either but the select few will forever try to convince the majority that he's better than Senna or Schumacher. I'm not saying that with disrespect either because he's definitely one of the best drivers in F1 history. He's just not as good as Max let alone the F1 GOATS.

Max hasn't proven to be a better driver than Lewis, not by a long shot. Abu Dhabi was the biggest race of the season and Max faltered under the pressure. Just like he faltered during qualifying in Saudi.

Lewis outperformed him, that much was clear.

I agree Masi had to go, I always thought he was a bit of a bumbler.
As others have posted, the race should have been stopped with 5 or so laps to go, reset for a nail biting race to the finish, had that happened & Max managed to beat Lewis then his WDC would have been 'clean'.
Yes Max had a great 3/4 of the season....but MB & Lewis had done enough to bring themselves back into contention & to be fair the last race & the WDC were Hamilitons, maybe the end under a safety car may not have been ideal but had the safety car not been deployed then Lewis would have carried on romping away with the win & taken his 8th, so I can understand Lewis, MB & their supporters being more than a tad miffed
For me it was the ideal result, Lewis not beating MSC 7 WDC & Max's WDC being somewhat tainted...& that rankles the Max fanatics

Had there been a red flag and all cars were allowed to be in the correct position with everyone on fresh tires for the last 4-5 laps then I’d agree with your comments about Max. Unfortunately we’ll never know. It’s interesting you and a lot of others (Max fans) didn’t want or don’t agree this should of happened.

Lewis isn't even close to Max's level. Look at Max's throttle after turn 2. He was going to torch Lewis in a significantly slower car. That lap would have went down in HISTORY but Max didn't complete it and that's just life.

You just posted a video of Max failing to complete a lap as proof that he's better than Lewis? Max fans love to claim his car is garbage to try to make him look better. But Lewis has far better risk management skills than Max. Lewis already had a moment during qualifying and opted to NOT crash, while Max opted to throw all caution to the wind and as a result he threw himself into the wall. He didn't torch Lewis, he showed immaturity and a lack of risk management.

This can be debated forever with a thousand "what if" scnearios but the only fact is Max is the 2021 WDC and there won't ever be an asterisk next to it.

I only agree with the fact that the FIA blows and that the best driver on the grid was the WDC and the best team was the CC.

The Redbull was always competitive. It had its strengths and weaknesses just like the Mercedes.

It was Max that failed to manage risk at Silverstone. He tried to squeeze Lewis into the wall and hoped that was enough to bully Lewis into backing out. Lewis didn't back out and Max learned a physics lesson. Had Max yielded a little, he would've gained much more and probably had the championship won before Abu Dhabi. Yet another reason why he's not on the level of Hamilton.

When has the car never mattered in F1? That’s a big reason why I like(d) it. Run what yah brung.

Tires matter more than almost anything else on a race car (you obviously know this). You and others are celebrating brilliance by Max who was on brand new softs was able to pass a car on shot hards that weren’t even up to temp? Wow, what a feat! Any of the mid pack teams with talented drivers would of made the same pass. Even Ferrari.

21 will forever be as I shall refer to him from here on out, either Max* or VER*
