You’ll hate this but I actually got off at the Sacramento Street exit from I-290 IIRC and that was a very unwise decision lol.

Some more pics that hopefully won’t make everyone tilt.

No hate on my part. You were just giving yourself a self-guided tour. I did the same while in Baltimore once. Nav on 2G absolutely sucked...worked great for telling me where to turn after I passed where it wanted me to go. Drove past a few candle/balloon street memorials. lol

Looks like you spent some time around Millennium Park. I've always like the architecture of the pavilion.

How was your trip?

Funny you mentioned Baltimore as I went to a couple of Yankee games at Camden Yards back in 2006 and 2009 and got ‘lost’ in the shady areas of Baltimore as well. As for Millennium Park, we loved it and as a matter of fact, we may go back for Memorial Day weekend and do more sightseeing. Willis Tower, Chicago River cruises, Field Museum of Natural History and whatnot.

Maybe I’ll locate iconic Ferris Bueller locations (I know the house is in CA) and try to recreate a scene. Overall Chicago reminded me of NY (going there for a week in June) and enjoyed it.

You want to stay at any hotel ....way north of 290. Stay away from the west side of Chicago near United Center.

Yup we stayed downtown near the Chicago River. Upon our pending return late May, we’ll most likely stay at the same hotel.
