I was fortunate enough to be invited to sit and fly in one of those simulators and it was a fantastic experience.

I almost get that at home with my VR setup, but lack the tactile sensation of touching buttons/switches.

You're cheating-- especially if you're flying around Denver.

Not sure why you killed Gen1 though since both engines are operating.

LOL, I guess I was too boring because everything was going without incident so the other invited guest in our party (not the instructor) decided it would be downright hilarious to start throwing switches, kicking hard rudder, etc. to F with me. And who needs those pesky terrain inhibit warnings going off anyways - ruins the fun!

Despite his antics and towards the end of the evening in a simulated extreme wind shear scenario on final approach into DIA I still landed the plane successfully (albeit with a pretty hard thump). I was proud of that and again it was a fantastic experience!
