I guess it all depends on what you're looking for.
When you say night activities, do you mean sleeping?

I have the original Tuft & Needle king, bought way back in 2014 or 15. Still 100% happy with it 6+ years later. It has held up and is no difference in comfort or appearance from new. Would buy again. Actually we already did - we have a queen on the Murphy bed in the guest room now.

I highly recommend latex foam mattress. They are stupid heavy, but they don’t have pressure points and I’m a heavy guy. Not cheap either but worth the money.

Same thought as above. Latex mattress has been great, but went with a hybrid idea. (Luma Sleep). No pressure points latex pad on top of mattress and it's still great for a lighter weight guy.

I've had really good luck (..and experienced sound sleep) with the Serta iComfort series. I think mine is the cool gel/foam version.

Used to love extra firm mattresses until I hurt my shoulders. Bought a Casper hybrid and am very happy.

I am in agreement with latex. I made my own 3 layer latex mattress and it has been wonderful to sleep on. Mine is on the firm side. Everyone's body and needs are different.

i've heard great things on the casper hybrid ones. I've been looking into the 8sleep pod mattresses also. seems interesting with the cooling factor.
